There are actually other crutch/cane holders available now. There’s even some with suction cups. The nasty part is that the manufacturers ask ridiculous prices for them! [on] Isn’t that whole concept of supply and demand wonderful, when the people who actually depend on these kind of products, have no option but to pay big time!! So in this case: the elderly and the (temporarily) disabled…… What a lovely way to make a profit! [cynical modus off]

I get being able to raise a light empty bowl up to an arm level surface. I am not convinced the same process reversed full of pet food would always prove quite so straight forward particularly for an elderly person.

I used to work in the dining room of a care home, we could have used like 40 of those cane things. The pet food bowl thing is a great idea too. LOL @ Theo, "I have big dogs, they'd knock it over, I'm out" - how many elderly people does he think own large dogs? Usually on a pension, living in an apartment or supported housing, physical limitations... I think the market for the pet bowl is more likely to own cats or small dogs.

They're remarkably thoughtless at times for people who've found success. What bothers me is that 80k is chips to some of them, product could've improved the lives of thousands but because they don't think they'll see a return SOON ENOUGH they don't budge. Oh well, money can't buy you decency.

it didn't take off b|c it's an item for disabled people (whether temporarily disabled through injury or permanently through old age or chronic illness or otherwise). people do not invest in the disabled. it's the marginalized group w| the least visibility + concern, thought about last, invested in least.
