Nah, he was hiding something about that airline deal. It wasn't just, "The two guys I asked didn't have the right contacts". In business terms, that's a wishy washy excuse. You'd check through other routes, ask other people, or just try over and over again. Also, did you hear when he said, "airports are controlled by the major groups"? What that meant is his people had found it impossible to get a foot in the door, because, "We already use these advertisers", but he was too chicken to just SAY that.

I know Duncan is cool and all, but he actually very often backs out of an investment super early. And I’m pretty sure he must be one of the dragons with the least offers per air time.

You can see the stats on Wikipedia. But, yes, he's at the low end. He made an average of 0.33 deals per episode. The average is 0.38. Duncan's deal rate is the lowest of all dragons who did three or more series. Even the infamous Jenny has a higher rate (0.41), but she did a million deals in her first series and almost none in her second.

I actually thought this was a great idea and a great pitch. The entrepreneur to me atleast came off very impressive and I'm surprised he didn't get better offers. Also I'm seriously surprised he accepted a deal for 100% of his company, with the chance of gaining 51% back. I guess it didn't matter because it didn't fell through anyways

I don't think it's a great idea for airports and other places where they change up the queue system frequently. Moving those parts around looks too cumbersome. I do however, think that it's a very good idea for restaurants and cafés.

This is a clear example of why Peter is so successful compared to someone like Deborah. She is an "emotionally driven" business person Vs Peter is very "logic driven". It's clear this product is a winner and has massive potential from airports, expos, anywhere you have to queue. What wasn't clear is whether this is patented. Peter's move to prove there is an order being made of $120k to US was a savage yet an excellent demonstration of his business tactics. It bloody works..he knew his value and he knew the potential of the product..people are replaceable, that's how it is.

It's clear that it has little potential from airports. He tried to sell to airports, he failed, and he doesn't even know why. Airports need to quickly reconfigure their queues, which they can do with the retractable tape barriers they already have, but not with this product, where the supports have to be a fixed distance apart.
