Might be one of you most valuable videos, I never went to a big league college so although I'm a higher achiever then most of my piers, networking that was normally done in college was missed and this type of networking can be productive and fun, for me I have done some competitive sailing. The clubs after is a great example. Boating and sailing is not cheap!!

Good ideas and practices. I have found Accepting and really working on a board for a charity or not for profit is usually very worthwhile and full of quality people. Best if all Its people you already share common denominator with. Next thing you know you are invited to shoot clay birds or have some adventure someplace you want to be. Plus water really does seek its own level so strive to be your best always.

True words, as a karate, judo(múltiple organizations) and crossfit practitioner I can tell you that I find competitive, masculine high achievers in other áreas individuals that keep me motivated, helped connect with high calibre persons and have met very nice girls too(rare to see 304's, bimbo's, OF Girls or stripper type of girls in those places) . And I have the plus that keeps me strong, jacked, disciplined ,healthy, high T and in shape.

Make sure to branch off further from the high achievers you have already networked with. They will likely have friends, family and business partners surrounding them who are also high achievers... You can make their network become yours too, if you play your cards right. Once you have a foundation of successful people in your life, you will find it easy to build further off of that.

I see Rich often mention about not being the smartest person in the room but how do you address that when you ARE more often than not in that category? I'm no genius, but there are a lot of people who just don't try to learn, grown, understand etc so I end up often being the smartest person in the room not because I'm especially smart, but because I'm the only one who keeps learning and growing on purpose.
@milhouse8166

For starters, stop wasting your time with those people. Next, figure out a way to find smarter people.
@kalmtraveler
@kalmtraveler 2 жыл бұрын
@@milhouse8166 that's mainly what I'm asking - how to find these smarter people. I'm somewhat of an introvert by nature, but cutting the dumb-dumbs off has left my circle pretty small and I'm not sure where to find the smarter folks.

@@kalmtraveler Rich gave 3 ideas. It helps to have a reason as well. Do you run a business and/or do you have something to offer? Edit: one thing Rich also says if you can solve a problem people have you can make money off it.

@@milhouse8166 Thanks Ed, not just yet - I've been working on a big investment plan for the past decade which is finally panning out. I do have quite a few marketable skills which are currently providing a decent salary but the goal has never been to be a high-paid drone. Skills were just a means to an end, if that makes sense. Basically all this stuff about doing the work, chasing excellence etc just fit what life was already teaching me, that I need to focus on owning my sphere and when your actions support that - everything else starts to fall in line. Like I said in my first post, the part I'm still puzzled is these smarter people - I know they're out there but so far I haven't figured out how to interface with them.
@milhouse8166
@milhouse8166 2 жыл бұрын
@@kalmtraveler no problem man, but perhaps first you need to ask yourself why you want to interface with these types of people in the first place. Is there a benefit for you? I've noticed that a lot of smart and/or wealthy people don't necessarily have "friends" in the traditional sense. They prefer teammates and business partners. Progress is a way of life for these people. If there isn't a mutual benefit in any relationship, they won't bother. I've stopped wasting my time with a lot of my "buddies". Edit: try to make relationships with people that will benefit you. I personally don't really care how smart someone is, unless I'm working very closely with them.

Rich, this is a bit random, but you may appreciate this. After listening to much of your material, I listen to the Beach Boys and I find that most of their songs are very Beta, about chasing women and groveling in front of them. The one exeception is their song about Car Clubs and any of their other car songs.
