I agree with it! It is not talked about and it made me feel weird cause at first, when meeting my son, I felt something was wrong with me for not feeling the immediate love but it was one we built together. It is about time we start making parents human lol

@@ThatWasUs - *near tears* ……… 🥲😢🫣I want to be able to talk to you guys- especially Mandy - but I am having a tough time finding my words 🫣… My direct home life doesn’t relate to the aspects of the series. I just watch for cathartic therapy intents and purposes. I don’t know Sterling and Chris as well as I do Mandy and Milo. I want to tell them that I’m eager for episodes 2x11, 2x13 and especially 2x14 (🤞🙏 Milo can come back for 2x14), but I don’t know how to put it. However, it was mentioned that any listeners or watchers could discuss anything they wanted….right? 🥹

I started rewatching This Is Us to keep up with this podcast and quickly surpassed the recap. I recently finished the series again (I watched when the show was on air). It’s confirmed that this show is probably the best tv series that captures what it is to be human and the essence of life. How amazing life is, how painful life is, and how short life is. I look forward to being able to rewatch over different phases of life and take something new from it ❤

It didn't go to commercial! I remember watching it live and being livid for a half second because I thought it was going to commercial but then I heard Jack breathing, which so mimicked me the viewer in that moment, and was delighted to hear the knock, knock, knock! Honestly, one of my favorite edited moments in the show! A whole wealth of emotions were tapped in that 2 seconds of black.

I really enjoyed the interview with Logan! ❤ As a quick constructive criticism though, as interviewers, when you ask someone a question don't start answering it for them or giving options for answers, let the guest shine and answer on their own.

Sterling explained EXACTLY how I felt and what I said when I was pregnant with my second child. "I love this first one so much. How will I, can I love the second one even close to that much?" Then they arrive and there it is...the love multiplies. I could not imagine life without having my two babies.

My favourite part about this episode is that very subtle moment between Jack and Kevin. While Rebecca is explaining things to Kate and Randall, Kevin glances at Jack's bruised fist and he gives him tiniest nod like "yup, THAT happened." Like they had this quick and easy understanding that Rebecca's bandmate was inappropriate with her and Jack reacted to it in the most logical way. Not healthy, but logical.

*Super Bowl Sunday* - 2x14 - has to be the one that’s iconically memorable in everybody’s minds … because of course, we all find out the real truth about Jack’s fate🥹… it’s a favorite of mine for the simple reason that it was so beautifully written and beautifully executed too.……And if 2x14 was referred to on the podcast episode when Milo was on … I can only imagine what will happen when we get to 2x14 and have to discuss it in depth! (🤞🙏 Milo can come back for that one)

Actually, the fade to black didn’t go to commercial in the original because I remember literally yelling - “Are you SERIOUS?!” at the TV when it went it faded to black. I wouldn’t have turned it back on if you hasn’t heard the knock 2 seconds later. That would’ve been my last This Is Us because I would not have made it through the commercial😂

Watching the show as it aired, teen Kevin scared me a bit as a black woman. If the show went in chronological order, I would've bet money that Kevin was going to play a part in Randall getting seriously hurt in the future. Kid Kevin was more brotherly banter and competition, but Teen Kevin seem to really loathe Randall and I couldn't stand seeing him on my screen because it made me so uncomfortable. I always wondered how he would've treated the triplet if he didn't pass. Logan played the part too well lol
