@@topcheese2889 sorry for the radio silence mate. I've been working on a huge phase and slowed by months of rain. But I actually start filming for the next vid this week. It's going to be worth it 😉

Haha right? Just with the roof as it is I have so many possibilities coming to mind.

As always, it's amazing! I love listening to you explain complex concepts that I don't really understand but you somehow make them sound simple and interesting. 😅 Looking forward to the next update!

Haha I do my best with the complex stuff. But with some of this it's just that complex. I could go into more detail with some stuff but the videos would be 10 times longer haha. I appreciate you watching even if not all of it makes sense :)

hi super build there pal ... do you have any footage on the track system and wheels ect youv used .. thanks

a couple 8ft solar panels on top of that section would almost double waterproof the structure... It would let a little rain through, but reduce by 75%. Just a thought!
@TwoHandsandaTinyHouse11 ай бұрын
Absoultely could but ti would have added a lot more complexity so I went with what was going to provide the best option for making it weatherproof.

So how many hours do you think it has taken you to nut out, design and build that entire fold out and sliding roof section? Looks pretty cool though.
@TwoHandsandaTinyHouse3 жыл бұрын
Oh man I have no idea. Honestly it's been a continuous process over the last year. I'd say hundreds of hours of just thinking and prototyping ideas for sure.
@leo1693 жыл бұрын
@@TwoHandsandaTinyHouse For sure hundreds of hours... And the result speaks for itself, looks and works great.

Hello, i am building a similar roof as a student engineer. Can you send the specific aluminium profiles and rubber profiles by any chance, so i can make a similar seal for the roof connection? That would help me a lot, considering your expertise, and my lack there of :D -Nicolaj from Denmark
@TwoHandsandaTinyHouse3 жыл бұрын
Hi there Nicolaj Fantastic you are building one. There are many parts to this roof and all custom for the project it would take a long time to specify it all. None of it is drawn up I just made it as I went. If you have particular parts you are after I'm happy to go into detail but I haven't got the capacity to draw it all up. Certainly happy to share my experience. ☺️
@PowerPaulAu3 жыл бұрын
So much forethought... It's like your brain is a CAD program!
@TwoHandsandaTinyHouse3 жыл бұрын
Haha thank you Paul. You know it's kind of how I picture it. I describe it as zooming in and zooming out. Everything is a sub-system of a greater system. The sliding roof is a system and the drains are a sub-system of the sliding roof. But the sliding roof is a sub-system of trailer join. Which is a sub-system of the house etc etc. So when I need to focus on a part I zoom in and focus on that part then zoom out again. Haha that was an overly detailed response.
