Very cool episode Brenton, lots of money in south Florida. Julie and I came through the areas you have been showing when we did what we call the "southern loop".It was a great trip and our little Corsair 880 Sport Trimaran performed flawlessly. We have made the decision to sale our condo in Key Largo and move on to our off-grid property in Southern Alabama. The taxes and homeowners insurance have tripled in the last 3 years, it's time to sell, we have it listed at $1.6 million. Our property in Alabama is about 3 hours north of Panama City, Florida, were going to find a nice marina down there to keep the boat. The property we bought in Alabama is 2.78 acres and sits on a beautiful 800 acre spring feed private lake and it's full of quality fish. My wife is a critical care RN nurse, the hospital she works at in Miami has an affiliate hospital in Dothan, Alabama so she can just transfer. It will be about a 15 mile ride for her...

I hear you on the taxes. Mine keep going up. That's how they plan to make us homeless
