Excellent conversation❤ I have been so disturbed by our communities inability to recognize how we are drifting from our faith and identity trying to align with the Democratic Party: it’s time we start helping one another to first see God and not be afraid to be who we are. I love love love the is convo and let’s keep the momentum going. We do not funnel and define our blackness through a party. We use the party to honor our blackness and identity!

My comment comes from a place of love & wanting to offer some kind of clarity so I hope its received that way. I'm a huge fan of yours Megan & I often hear you say that we should seek to have Jesus as lord of our lives & that we must consider God in everything we do. I dont want to debate homosexuality or even abortion because today those things have become a source of conflict even among Christians. I know what my beliefs are on those as well as knowing we must treat everyone with love in regards to those things. Ive seen Justin on alot of podcasts & he is a Democrat so I feel like we are being a little biased with how Christians should vote, when we are only given a Democrat viewpoint but I appreciate the discussion & Ive watched alot of the podcasts. What I want to understand is where do we draw the line as Christians ? Abortion through 9 months even up to the day of birth isnt enough to say no more, sexualization & mutilation of children is also isnt ? Pushing gender confusion & affirming all kinds of things like litter boxes in classrooms & porn in school libraries, tampons in boys lockerooms still isnt enough .. All these issues have/are causing a moral decline in our Society are very much supported by the Democrat Party - non of that glorifies God & I personally dont believe 99% of Democrat policies are helping our neighbours, rather hurting. Aside from those types of Moral issues hurting us I personally feel the current Administration have done an awful job on the border & our economy, many cannot afford basic needs for their families & crime has sky rocketed across the country .. But aside from ALL of that - my main issue is this - When an attendee said " Jesus is Lord " at a Democrat Rally & Kamala said " Your at the wrong Rally " what she is basically saying is thats not welcome here, the most important aspect of my life is not welcomed by her or respected even by her tone. As a follower of Christ, as someone who has been saved, lifted out of bondage, he was with me before I was born & after Im gone 🙏 his gift of mercy & his ultimate sacrifice - he died for me, he is literally my everything & I consider him in all things - including my vote - he is 100% my LORD thank you. My opinion is that is where Christians must draw the line 💜 CHRIST should be the enough is enough with the Democrat party. Trump.isnt perfect - he is a sinner as we all are, but I have never seen him deny Jesus or Christians. The same cannot be said for Kamala. Again this was loving said with respect to all.

Thank for you engaging on this topic Meagan! I have been inspired, challenged & empowered by Justin + & Campaign for years now. I’m grateful he’s lending his voice during this election season. I’ve had the privilege of a father who is as pastor but also community & civics leader & I didn’t realize how much of a luxury it was/is until now. As Justin has previously said & I wholeheartedly believe, Jesus is NOT on the ballot. Looking at the comments I’d like to add: We are in a consequential election. I won’t tell you who you should or shouldn’t vote for but I will say stewardship is NOT just about policies, character DOES matter too. I’m weary of any trojan horse who manipulates people’s honest spiritual beliefs as a means for selfish gain. All the commandments in the Bible could be simplified into 2 laws: 1. Love God & 2. Love His people. So the questions then become: Which candidate allows for you to do both? Which candidate would be open enough to listen to people they agree with or disagree with? Which has a humble spirit to encourage a more unified nation? You get to decide. You however don’t get to dictate where someone else’s faith is genuine enough based on YOUR decision.🌻

Idk who I’m voting for but the fact that you all in the comments are lifting Trump up as a poster boy for Christianity and morality is willlldddddd. He too has no fruit lol
@graced_by_ebeauty28 күн бұрын
He definitely is not. That's obvious. But what is most important is picking the candidate that has policies that are most aligned with Christ and the bible. Between the two, he is that candidate. He may not have the fruit, but God can still use him to push God centered principles. As Christians, we shouldn't be ok with supporting candidates that show no fear of God. The Lord gives us free will, but He is also holy and very one-sided when it comes to sin. He doesn't like it, in fact He hates sin and when satanic agendas are being pushed on the masses and on children of God, it is our responsibility to push back instead of siding with it because of how we feel about a person. I hope this makes sense.
@prettylilme9828 күн бұрын
@@graced_by_ebeauty I’m curious to know if you believe Trump fears the Lord?
@graced_by_ebeauty28 күн бұрын
@prettylilme98 my beliefs about Trump aren't what matter when it comes to choosing who has the most biblically sound policies. But to answer your question, I don't believe someone who doesn't have some type of fear of God would even stand on the side of Christians. I don't think he truly knows God in the way a true believer should, but to acknowledge any biblical principles and stand beside those choices requires some form of acknowledgment of God. Now he could be using it as leverage for votes, I don't know, but if he is, then I know God can still use it for His good. At the end of the day, the only one who knows the beginning and the end is God, so I do what God says even when I don't fully understand. I lean on His understanding and ways more than mine. I hope this answers your question.

Less government involvement, less abortions, less inflation and more business growth (without debt from the federal govt). The Word says moral rot within a nation makes the government topple easy. Stick to the script and everything else will fall in place. Some people try to articulate too hard making it too nuanced than it has to be.

Remember the story of the rich man and Lazarus? They lived completely opposite lives. Abraham told the rich man, “You received your good things” while Lazarus received “bad things.” Despite seeing Lazarus suffer, the rich man offered no help. Yet, when they both died, the rich man found himself pleading with Abraham for relief, which shows he knew of Abraham, he knew what was good, but chose not to act on it. The Bible doesn’t spell out what exactly caused the rich man to end up in torment, but it’s clear he lived a life according to his own pleasure, ignoring the needs around him, and neglecting to align his actions with the truth he knew. This is a picture of someone who knows God’s law, knows what is righteous, but chooses self-will over God’s will. And Scripture tells us that out of the heart flows all sorts of evil if it’s not aligned with God’s righteousness. Just like the rich man, if we live for ourselves, ignoring God’s call to righteousness and instead going along with policies or lifestyles that oppose His Word, we’re putting our souls in danger. Remember the parable of the king who invited guests to his son’s wedding, but one came without the proper wedding clothes? He was cast into outer darkness. It’s not enough that we’re invited into God’s kingdom-we must also be conformed to His image. Living under the guise of “free will” doesn’t mean doing whatever we please. Our actions and decisions will be judged, tested by fire. If they don’t align with God’s truth, they will be consumed. As Revelation 1:14 says, “His eyes were like a flame of fire.” Jesus will evaluate our works, and if they don’t match His standards of righteousness, they won’t endure. As Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ We have the Bible today to guide and structure our lives. We don’t need an angel to come down and preach the Gospel to us because God has already given us His Word. We clearly know what He loves and what He hates. If we choose to ignore this and continue to walk in ways that displease Him, we will stand without excuse. The cloud of witnesses surrounding us will testify against us on that final day. Depart from evil now while you still can!

If immigrants are coming over here illegally, that is not abiding by the laws of the land. Everything should be done in order. God is a God of order. How I see it is that both Candidates are not Christians, but one is closer than the other to what the bible teaches. Trump does not promote the LGBTQ community. We have to think of the impact illegal immigrants have, some come to kill (literally), steal (being funded by gov aid, off of tax payers dollars) and destroy (bringing drugs into our communities primarily affecting the minority population). Not calling them the devil whatsoever, but the actions of some are very detrimental to maintaining and building a better socioeconomic foundation. For those that don't do that, or have no plans to do that, then why not take the legal route? Jesus is not of man, hence his death, we do not know what we do. Setting parameters is not a no, it's a process of protection of our nation. Which, we can liken to sanctification when drawing parallels between church and state.@@chanellemurillo187

Everyone is talking about Donald trumps character..judging a human who is flawed like the rest of us or talking about policies, taxes this & that which main focus is money instead of helping those in need which God despises. Not a single candidate has addressed the homeless issue in this country or how there are so many starving children here in the states, or how we should make the immigration process easier for those people fleeing from there countries we were blessed enough to not be from. As a representative of Christ my job is to love my neighbor everything else is not my authority but the Lords. I am not asking anyone to agree with me, but I also don’t want anyone acting nice to my face meanwhile you are secretly voting to take away my civil rights… I cannot be associated with you. Nope. Sorry.

I was happy with the message until right at the end. I figured it out by the end that he is Democrat. I felt so much more confused after that because I thought he was saying vote with what aligns most with the Bible. I feel like neither candidate themselves represent Jesus or the Gospel. But one side’s policies do more so align with biblical values. One side removes God and the Gospel from pretty much everything. We live in an evil world. God help us all.

We live in a secular, God-hating world. If you hold your breath for an athiest political candidate that "shows fruits of the Spirit" you are going to waste your vote which could've gone towards a candidate whose policies best reflect the Biblical morals and principles we uphold. You cannot hold non-Christians to the same standard of someone who already made Jesus Lord. Trump was the right person to vote for, in my opinion. To protect our children, our borders, our economy.

I just did some Research he is a Democrat. I'm not voting for abortion or LGBT rights. So it's either I don't vote at all or I'm voting for Trump. Simple as that.
