What a great project. Now you’ll be able to insulate between the studs for better noise reduction. Don’t think about the whole project, just set yourself small tasks and tick them off. Courage!!

I hope you’re able to salvage the baseboards. The woodwork is beautiful. Love those plaster crown moldings. Great idea to save them.

Had to be done. We are saving the original. Baseboards in the living room ,playroom and the hallways. Hallway upstairs I’m going to have to find recreate some due to change of layout ,as they are original. Everywhere else will get replaced.

@@FromLeedsToWest I’m sure you’ll be able to recreate them. I would probably keep them original in the hallways and use what you have. If they change a little bit once you’re in a bedroom or bath it won’t be so noticeable. Might save a little money as baseboards like those will probably be pricey. I’ve been enjoying the videos. Thanks for sharing.

Oh so sad that the plaster was in such bad shape, but you really did fast work of taking down and cleaning up

I’d be scared to rip all those walls off until I’d secured the roof and attic floor/bedroom ceiling in case it all fell down.😆Exactly why did you chose there to start ?
