Probably one of the most beloved travel backpacks in the world! But while the Aer Travel Pack 2 is a phenomenal backpack, but it doesn't mean that it's a perfect backpack.
The pack has AMAZING style and functionality, and we love the exterior materials, but at the end of the day, the interior materials feel really, really basic to us...

The Aer Travel Pack 2 is perfect for you if…
✅ You are looking for a one-bag travel pack (33 liters is a perfect size for this)
✅ You are looking for a bag for the weekend or weeklong trips
✅ You love the Aer urban aesthetic

The Aer Travel Pack 2 is NOT for you if…
❌ You need an everyday carry backpack. This is too large for that, instead, check out smaller packs such as...
→ AER tech pack 2 vs Day Pack 2→ Epic every day carry → Watch our review → bit.ly/30ooYSr
→ Aer Duffel Pack 3 → 24 liters → A smaller Aer alternative → Watch our review → bit.ly/3Fgd6B8
❌ This is not the pack for you if you need a LONG TERM travel pack. It's probably going to be a bit too small for most people, instead, check out larger packs such as …
→ Tortuga Travel Backpack → 45 liters → Minimalist and huge → Watch our review → bit.ly/3nJVcnx
**Disclaimer: The Tortuga Outbreaker Backpack is discontinued. We recommend the Tortuga Travel Backpack instead!
→ Peak Design travel backpack → Tons of groovy features → Watch our review → bit.ly/3cqz6gB

Out of all of the modern backpack companies, Aer is likely the company with the most passionate following.
And deservingly so - their backpacks are masterpieces! Aer has put an impressive amount of effort into the functionality of their packs, all while maintaining a sleek and very unique aesthetic. We also adore the Aer Duffel Pack, the Aer City Sling, and the Aer Capsule Pack.

seriously considering this one. Currently have a Fjallraven raven 28l for many years so its getting old and am missing some capacity when traveling. I use the Fjallraven for everything. Hoping the Aer will be my new everything backpack. everdaypack/gymbag/workbag and even better for short/long term travel. Awesome in-depth review, got an even better overview of the bag now.

Hii, I just came across you channel and Im really enjoying all the videos, they are really dynamic so we don’t get bored, yet super informative! Im between the tortuga divide and the aer travel pack 2. Wanted to ask which one would fit better a 13” laptop and 10.5” tablet? The aer seems to have in the front compartment a large pocket but I can’t tell if its big and secure enough for the tablet. And the setout says tablet size 9.7” so Im not sure if it would fit a slightly bigger size. Also my tablet is has a hard cover and keyboard attached so not very thin. What would be your recommendation?

Thanks for the review, I ordered the bag and received it very quickly. I was very upset for paying 65EUR for ''import fees'' into the EU (after UPS had it delivered). So heads up to the European customers: their website does tell you there is an import fee, but in The Netherlands I paid 65EUR!!!! (I was expecting it to be around 10-15EUR).

My take way is our definition of travel length is different. Short is weekend, medium is 1week, and long is 2 weeks. I’ve never in 30 years of working had more than 14 days off. 2 weeks is long enough for trip of life time.

Thanks for the comment Marc, and yup, we def have different definitions. Our YT channel is mainly dedicated to Digital Nomads, so 'longer' term travel typically means indefinite travel lol. I traveled non-stop for years before settling down.

@Nomads.Nation

From one clumsy-as-hell-person to another I wouldn't worry too much about the 'scratchiness' of the Nomatic Travel Pack. As for the Cordura in a downpour - it depends for how long it was subjected to the rain. Half a minute? Should be OK! Longer than a few minutes... probably not...

I think the compression straps are my favorite feature on this pack! Even with YKK zippers, I worry that a broken zipper can make for a very bad experience... The compression straps do a great job on 2 fronts... 1. With a loaded backpack, they take some of the stress off the zipper, which (I hope) adds lifespan to the main zip 2. If the worst case does happen, I can still close the pack, and hopefully not be stranded with a mess of assorted goods... I really haven't found it to be too big of a deal to undo them for access, usually I only need to access things in the main compartment during mornings, evenings, and maybe if I buy something while out and about...
