This recipe looks fab, but more importantly, the baby girl I remember, never mind you pregnant, or even before that, has grown up so so much! I can't believe how grown up she is, helping you already! She's absolutely engaging and adorable. Thanks so much for letting us get to see her.

Wow.... your daughter cracks eggs better than I can! You are so good at teaching... and at especially such a young age. How long did it take her to learn the gentle egg cracking?

I love Snickerdoodles. I have never made them with vanilla. I like the tang that the cream of tartar brings to the flavor.

Haven't checked in for awhile. VERY nice to see your daughter helping you again. My wife and I missed seeing her from when she was little.

I love the mixer attachment being used as a mini whisk for your kitchen helper! Snickerdoodles are my favorite, but I don't have any shortening on hand.😭 The weekend agenda has now been cleared to allow for ingredient acquisition and cookie baking.

I think we have a future chef in the making! Kristin she is absolutely darling and I remember you were pregnant right before covid hit… so she must be around 2 now? They grow so fast so enjoy every moment. Some of my most cherished memories with my mom were in the kitchen! It was the passing of the spatula that sparked my creativity in baking ❤️ I am so glad to see you guys back!

I added ground cardamom + ginger alongside the cinnamon in the batter. Then topped with turbinado sugar instead for a crunchier effect 😋 great recipe!

That looks like a delicious cookie. The vegetable shortening...do you mean crisco? It looks like you used chunks of butter...because crisco is white-ish and butter yellow-ish 😁 Can I replace the shortening for butter? or will that change the recipe a lot?
@Bianca-Bibistaarten2 жыл бұрын
@Kristen Miglore Thank you very much Kristen for the explanation. I can get Crisco in The Netherlands, no problem, so now I understand why the shortening is important ...( I think I missed that part 😊) and Now I know why your shortening looks yellow-ish 😁. Thanks 🌹👍🏻

I just made a batch… fantastic! I’m surprised there wasn’t any white sugar (except when you roll the dough in it at the end).

Omg I need a new snickerdoodle recipe.....I tried the Bon appetit recipe and had a tough time. The dough was do sticky my cookie scoop got stuck and I hurt my ringer trying to dislodge it.....and then the cookies became so flat in the oven.

These cookies are for children. They lose their appeal after 15. Yawn.
