I’m so grateful for you raising awareness of this openly. It’s such an education & inspiration for me. The videos are so well done and I feel much less alone. I’m on the FB groups too but watching someone talk about it is so helpful.

I have a new understanding and empathy for you and anyone dealing with chronic migraine. I usually only get cluster and icepick headaches, but I have recently added migraine to that list. I know migrains are often an all day thing, but I didn't know what that would feel like until it happened. Cluster and icepick headaches are very painful, but only last a short time. Now I know what migraine fog feels like, and it SUCKS! I would take Cluster and icepick headaches over migraine any day.

"Done being on the table," is an understandable sentiment. However, looking at your journey for the last few years, I feel confident you'll cope with any further requirement to go under the knife - if it could significantly improve your quality of life. You're strong enough to continue the struggle for health and capability, even through what looks like too much now. But I wish you the success you need, to get the goals you set yourself for now.

Thank you so much. We suspect SIH (spontaneous intracranial hypotension) and are considering patching, this was very helpful.

Doing this tomorrow - EBP. Non targeted as haven’t located exact leak - just problems with MRI and want brain back to normal. If that’s possible as a RN / mom lol. Thanks for this information and doing this for us with CSF leaks ! Appreciate this VERY MUCH! 😊. So grateful !

You are so strong, Jen. I wish I were, too. It’s so hard to keep going right now. I think I leak too slowly now for the cisternogram to work in a few hours. The pledgets barely got wet and I was sitting up, so not leaking. I leak lying down only. I am pretty sure it’s cranial. It goes down my throat so I think it’s in my sphenoid or ethmoid sinus or cribiform plate. I’m so debilitated and in bed mostly. I applied for disability and got on Medicaid so now I’m stuck in my state of Virginia. In the past I had sinus & jaw surgery for sleep apnea at Stanford. I’m going to beg them to take me back somehow. I’m desperate at this point. By chance are you going to Stanford, if you feel ok saying? I understand if not… I had weird trolls on my medical FB posts and they were trying to figure out my drs. Actually don’t tell me, that was traumatic and you need safety! I just hope Stanford treats cranial leaks. I am so exhausted 😢

Hi Jen did your unilateral nasal drainage stop after these procedures? Did they ever explore weather you have a cranial leak?
@erikavaleries Жыл бұрын
I’m so confused about CSF dripping down my throat. Im sure mine must be cranial. But some spinal leakers have CSF drip in the head - or it’s just irritation on cranial nerve causing some kind of drip lymph or sinus fluid. Apparently sometimes people blow a cranial leak with intracranial hypertension, but it can be small and self healing when pressure lowers.

My blood patch was soooo painful as it irritated my nerves after 5ml and had to be called. They gave no meds to help. I wonder if the blood is more acidic to irritate the already irritated nerves.

I wish more doctors practiced bloodless medicine. The benefits outweigh the cons by so much.
