I absolutely love your story Adele!! I started having seizures in 2018 and I felt like my life was over. But today with support of my friends and family, and medication, I am seizure free. Next step is to get my drivers license.

Your speech made me cry like a baby. I've been battling this demon for over 20 years. I've had 2 right temporal lobectomy surgeries, I have a VNS implant, take 3 different meds every day and still have seizures, just not as often as I was at one time. I would have up to 11 per day at 1 point. It's been a battle but they're more controlled now. Thank you for your great testimony. God bless you.

Thank you so much for your inspiring video. You have truly given me hope. I'm 63 and I've had uncontrolled seizures off and on, mostly uncontrolled, all my life. On 8/31 I meet with a specialist to discuss another surgery, this time Deep Brain stimulation. I hope and pray my outcome is as successful as yours. And may you continue to have a seizure-free life.

Thanks so much for this video. Glad I found it when I did. 3:20 definitely understood where those emotions about stress and just about how being on stage being is very stressful. I'm a software developer and it's definitely frustrating when you have those days where you can't finish work. You can't focus on anything, cause you're having those Auras. They can really take it out of you. Cried like a baby cause we're just trying to make cool work, but I have to take a step back and realize even though I want to push myself, I still have limitations. Work has always been understanding when I can't continue work, but doesn't mean I don't want to push myself to make cool things

I'm 63 now, and retired. But I can truly relate to your story. All my working life, my seizures have interfered with work; having seizures at work, losing good jobs because of szs., having bosses follow me into the restroom in case I had a sz., etc. What I could have accomplished were it not for constantly battling the seizures.

I needed to hear this story as someone who is trying to get pregnant on epilepsy meds. Everything you said was SPOT ON about the pure teeror and fear we do feel bringing a child into this world.

I think that all of us who have epilepsy very much appreciate her speech. I'm 56 and and first had surgery in 1981. It returned : ( and could not be controlled with meds so back to the surgery table in 2007. Seizure free. I do think that one element of the condition that is not addressed is the psychological and emotional impact. In particular the impact on younger people and what happens emotionally on being diagnosed. I was 15. A very difficult time.

High humidity and low atmospheric pressure is the reason why people get seizures! I found out because my previous seizure was during when the hurricane and I googled it and found out. Ever since I've kept track of humidity and atmospheric pressure my amount of seizures has decreased. Get a dehumidifier and try it out. Sensitivity towards high humidity and low atmospheric pressure cause it. Thats why countries with high humidity such as UK and Pakistan have the highest amount of Epilepsy.
