Okay I have an alternative theory here: Someone from Andrew’s school or social circle talked him into going to London for the concert. My gut is leaning towards an adult from his school or social circle, possibly a teacher, janitor, family friend etc someone he trusted. This adult DID NOT have good intentions, possibly groomed him, tried to befriend him eg ‘oh sixth is playing at this place at this time, I’m a huge fan of it, we should both go, oh but don’t tell anyone and I won’t tell anyone you skipped school’ and convinced him to make the trip to London. I think this adult IS a predictor and preyed upon Andrew, to take him away and possibly do something horrible to him. I highly suggested they go through ALL the adults he’s interacted with in his life and go through what they did that day.

What I find so inconceivable is how there is no further CCTV footage of Andrew, post-leaving King's Cross Station, walking amongst London. @cw900710 ай бұрын
There may well have been. The problem was that the police failed to ask for CCTV until nearly a month after Andrew disappeared, so by the time they were done with blaming the family and got their act together, most CCTV had been overwritten. The police have a lot to answer for in this case.
@bigmofarah908410 ай бұрын
Shock horror, the police dropped a bollock and failed to do their jobs properly. This meant any footage has now been lost forever. We are lucky to even know he got to King's Cross rather than have to speculate whether or not he got off the train at an earlier stop. Hey ho, it's only somebody's child that went missing. I am sure they had more important stuff to be doing. They bungled the whole case and now you have people wildly speculating on KZbin about what could have happened. His parents at the very least should know exactly where he went after King's Cross rather than have faith that a waitress really did encounter him because ham and pineapple pizza sounds like something he would order to eat.

I think that as a parent his father idealizes Andrew, like nothing was wrong with him. At that age many teenagers suffer in silence and don’t tell anything at all to their parents or family. Also by the type of bands he liked and all that emo feel. But I believe he had the intention of coming back that same day that’s why he left everything tidy up the same way as when he came back from school and the reason why he took his keys with him. He met foul play in London and maybe he is dead or kept kidnaped somewhere....so sad. Hope someday we can get an answer. All my support and love to the family.

If he planned on coming back the same day, then why didn't he get the return ticket... especially considering it was only 1 dollar more??? The only reasons I can think of that he wouldn't bring his charger would be if he forgot it (I doubt that), if he thought he'd be back home before he'd need it again, or if he planned to kill himself and just wanted to play on the train ride. No way that boy was intent on running away. I have taken off from an abusive home and it always involved extra clothes and all my dollar bills and coins. He went to London with a purpose and that involved another party. I think he likely was lured by someone he knew and that likely knew his family, which makes it even more creepy. It could have been someone in Doncaster. He went to London, assuming he was coming home with someone. I bet he thought that person would smooth things over with his parents for being mischevious but that person had ill-intent and harmed that poor boy. I also know a woman who is involved with the same missing persons group as Kevin and all those families are united in their grief. This is just a theory but please hear me out. Andrew may have begun using some sort of illegal substance. The 4 mile walks home from school could have been an excuse to obtain it. His parents would not likely notice him being high because he spent so much time alone and focused on video games. Illicit drug use could also explain his sudden change in mood the day he disappeared. His parents may have been less likely to notice money missing from his bank account than his birthday money. He may have had a friend at school (or somewhere) that told him he could buy a larger quantity of the illicit substance at an address in London. Andrew being gullible and naive may have believed that he could meet the dealer and his friend there and once the transaction was completed, be given a ride home. He may not have realized he was being set up for a robbery. The robbery may have gone wrong and could have become a murder. It's just a theory and I have no evidence to support it. I am truly sorry to the Gosden family for their loss and hope Andrew is safe and returns home to them.

*Andrew's sister is mistaken when she says that they found out "pretty quickly" that her brother had taken the train to London (**9:16**). In fact they did not find out about his trip for three days! The clerk who sold him the train ticket on Friday morning was off work for the weekend and did not return to work until Monday of the following week. The podcast continues with this same error of timing by saying it was "relatively soon" (**9:22**) that the family and the police find out about the railway ticket. Three days is a long waste of time when a young boy has gone missing. A return ticket was not "only around a pound more" (**9:38**). It was half this at 50 pence. Three questions I have are: 1) who saw Andrew in the park? (not mentioned in this podcast), 2) who was staying for dinner the evening Andrew went missing? (**7:14**), and 3) who saved Mr. Gosden's life (**29:50**)? This could provide a motive.*

See Andrews photo often in London (as a cyclist), talking to my sister who’s works in security (London), and she said that there were complaints about missing children (not sure if it’s related), I was also shocked to learn that in east London a white van was spotted abducting children, this sent chills down my spine knowing that there can be such sick people in this world. Anyways I hope he has survived and is out there somehow, as the pain on his family would be unbearable.

There is over half a million CCTV cameras watching you daily in London. That's more than any other place in England or really probably Europe itself. In America we probably are caught on CCTV anywhere from 75-100 times a day.. In London, you're on there anywhere from 350-500 plus times in one 8 hour stretch to a full day. The cops are lazy and didn't look back until after a month after Andrew left. By that time that's when they found the small amounts of footage we as a public supposedly have.. the footage of him at the stations and leaving at Kings Cross. The last time anyone saw him that was confirmed by more than one person. If you think about it, it's not unrealistic for all but that footage to be missing considering half a million cameras have to cover up old feed after awhile. I'm sure after half a million lenses recording 24/7 for over a month would make you loose that older footage. What bothers me though is they claim they can only find footage from when he was getting off at Kings Cross... Which if you think about it would be the oldest footage they could possibly have on file of him (despite any day leading up to this day) so where was the other 8 hours plus after that footage where he would of been wondering the streets? I think if the rumor of the sighting of Andrew later that day in a pizza hut was true, we would of seen him walking or getting on public transport to ride the three miles or so roughly to get to that pizza hut south of London.. so that leads me to believe that he meet someone intentionally or by false play right outside of the station when he was last seen, maybe in a alley way nearby where there coincidencely wasn't cctv? Either that or maybe a family member or someone else he was supposed to meet lived right there, such a short distance to not be caught on CCTV. The 3 minutes it could of took at most for him to reach his destination, go in the house, leave in a car with someone and go to pizza hut later that day and never to be seen again. I'm not sure if he ran away intentionally and is still fine to this day or if something worse happened. But the lead/rumor about the guy meeting a person online by the name of Andyroo (a family given nickname) needed money for rent because his partner walked out on him, he couldn't be wired money because he no longer has a bank account, he claimed it was because one day 11 years ago when he was 14 he decided to take a train to London one morning and run away because he felt like it.. I feel like although hopeless and a dead end, this is the most realistic of the theories. He was a smart kid and I don't think he would have a hard time getting on his feet and getting a house and a job. Perhaps when he was supposedly spotted at Pizza hut he was trying to get a job application?! It could be a shot in the dark but to think about it, it makes a lot of sense the way he did it. It seems like Andrew knew he was being watched and had planned long and hard on a way around it. Perhaps he took some of his money and bought new clothes or got new clothes from someone he knew and that's how he evaded later CCTV footage? I think there is a lot more about Andrew that we didn't know and he actually probably intended for all of this, and planned around it and this is why we haven't spotted him on CCTV to this day (other than the lazy pigs not watching them) he probably took the last of his money, got some food, new clothes, and a haircut and went to go job searching.

Unfortunately the slow response towards getting CCTV seems to have ensured that this case will remain cold for many years to come. I know we largely don't hear of the successes but time and time again police failings in high profile cases are glaring and obvious. They have a devastating impact on the families caught up in the web of emotions that a disappearance causes and make law enforcement look incompetent. The truth is that from King's Cross this young man really could have ended up anywhere and even a few frames of CCTV from after he went through his ticket barrier onto the wider streets or to the Tube network would have been invaluable.

I think that if he was planning to go to a gig, and intended stay with family he would have checked in with them on arrival,one would have thought,he obviously did not forewarn them of his coming to London.Personally,I would have thought a 14 year old going to London alone slightly odd, however, no family was expecting him and I dont think he intended going to family unless he was sure in himself of facing the music on return home,which I reckon he did intend going home.He did not buy the return ticket because maybe the one offered was a same day return,so he knew he was not returning the same day.So,if he intended staying in a hotel in London,again,one would assume he would check in some time soon after arrival in London,he would maybe have been hungry by this time, he has 170 pounds in his pocket, lunch, a cheap hotel or guest house, some dinner,then entry to a gig, return home next day, 30 pounds,or maybe cheaper by coach, He withdrew cash at a cash machine,wonder why he did not want to pay for the hotel with his card,or the train ticket for that matter,he could have got cash in London,but he wanted cash before he left Doncaster. It looke to me that he was met soon after arriving in London,did not check into a hotel or anywhere else for that matter.The fact that nobody in all this time has said the saw him that day or since,says to me he has deliberately gone into hiding,or he has been picked up, it happens,as I said,no way would I let a 14 year old of mine go to London alone,I know on this occassion he left home witout permission,but his parents were all for sending him alone to London,maybe there is nothing odd in that,but not something I would do,or for that matter I would be surprised if the Polce would say it was a good idea.If he was that clever he been have been acting that all was well at home,troubled kids problems usually start at home or at school,.He was clever enough to hide his online activity,if he had any,maybe he went on line at school,.Somebody,somewhere,knows something, and it could be closer to home,in most of these cases,it is.

My thought is that it could be possible he could have got caught up with some kind of drugs trafficking(not him taking drugs but someone exploiting him to carry /deliver them) that went wrong. Sometimes kind of innocent looking boys will be used as they are less suspicious. Could explain why he told no one where he was going (if he wanted to go to a gig or a specific place/exhibition, I feel like he would have at least mentioned it in passing to someone ) and also why he supposedly walked home from school instead of getting the bus. Maybe he met up with someone or was trying to see how late he could stay out without causing any suspicion. Obviously this theory has no evidence, and I’m not saying that in anyway he was a bad kid, just that teenagers can be exploited in different ways and carrying drugs is one of the most common for teenage boys.

Some things that seem strange to me is how Kevin refers to Andrew in the past tense. It could simply be his way of coping with the disappearance, but referring to him as being gone and the numerous times he laughed during the interview just seems a bit odd to me. But again, he's been through a lot and having been affected deeply by the loss of his son without any sense of resolution could make Kevin deal with things in ways that seem abnormal. As for Andrew, I have this notion about gifted individuals - one that I have no doubt others hold to be a possibility. That is, highly intelligent people are similar to psychopaths in that they don't consider the emotions of others. I believe that some experiences can lead to a maturation of sorts where without any obvious cause, they manifest themselves in a suddenly cold dearth of emotional recognition. They shut off, and walking away from family - no matter how loving and functional - is as easy as deciding which foot to lead off the curb with. However, I believe Andrew is no longer alive. Although intelligence has a lot going for it, there's no guarantee that common sense is a given. He could have naively fallen prey to someone with nefarious intentions which resulted in Andrew being killed. I certainly hope I'm wrong and understand completely why his loved ones haven't given up hope of his return. I do wish them the best in that regard.

IMO, shortly after arriving in London, he committed suicide. He had no intention of returning home. He had this all planned out. He ended his life and he did not want to be found. He succeeded. There are many areas, especially in a large city like London, where a body would never be discovered. Poor kid was dealing with severe vision problems and all the latter photos of him show a child that was very depressed.

Severe vision problems?! He had corrective glasses and I’m pretty sure he could have had contacts as they can be worn at a very high medication. I just don’t think he would have been so cruel as to not leave a note. I also think that’s a pretty grandiose way to commit suicide. Why go to a place where you have to figure out where and how you’re going to commit suicide. Yes he could have jumped into the Thames but why go all that way? Why draw out £200 before he got on the train. If he knew what he was going to do he would not need that money. If he was going to change his mind he could have just used a bank machine in London. I think he is dead, no question but suicide doesn’t make sense.

1) Why did his father think he was gay? He even reached the LGBT community asking some questions, but I´ve never read the reasons behind him assuming his son´s sexual orientation. 2) Days prior to his dissapearance, Andrew supposedly stopped taking the school bus and started coming back by walking, on a 2-hour trip. So, Andrew was returning to his house 2 hours later than usual, probably sweating all over, and his parents never said a word? They just believed such an abrupt behavior was completely normal for a 14 year old boy, and especially, for Andrew? Did any of their neighbours were able to confirm that they saw Andrew walking on the streets in the afternoon? If not, then it´s really clear for me that Andrew had already been hanging out with another person, who probably even picked him up from school and then drove to Andrew´s school, 2 hours later than usual. 3) Why is his father laughing all the time?

Online Grooming did occur back then, but it wasn't as commonplace as it is today. However he certainly could have been approached IRL. If he had nowhere to stay after the show ended, he might have hung around at the venue until it cleared out trying to pass the time. I can see him attracting the attention of someone, a 'friendly' predator, or maybe he got chatting to a group who said they were having an after party. It's quite possible he was just going with the flow of things and got out of his depth. It could have been something as straight forward as alcohol poisoning that was covered up or something more sinister, but we'll never know. The police dropped the ball hard on this - London is one of the most surveilled cities in the world. If the investigation went into high gear off the bat and they recovered cctv sooner, when we would have answers or at least leads by now.

£200 would have only just about covered train travel costs and minimal-average spending money for food and gig entry (if he did go to a show, which I believe he did) If you're purchasing a train ticket on the day of travel it costs considerably more than purchasing in advance... so buying 2 single fares would have eaten up the majority of this budget. He must have planned on staying over in London for the night, as the returned ticket was declined for an extra £1. He didn't purchase the next day's ticket in advance because he must not have had a definite time of travel, or fully understood the ticket options. Or perhaps he was just gonna see what happened and make his travel plans as he went along. But I will just say if he was heading to a gig, the return ticket would have been useless to him. The shows finish at roughly about midnight and trains stop running before that. So he would have needed a seperate ticket for the next day regardless. You can get 'open returns' where the departure date isn't specified but they're still relatively costly and as I say I just dont think he was aware of it, and just figured he'd keep things simple.
@nevadatan73232 ай бұрын
If he was Depressed it's a fair comment to say that people do infact hide their depression But if you were gonna off yourself you wouldn't travel to central London in order to do it. I'm ruling that out tbh.
@nevadatan73232 ай бұрын
The fact he took £200 imo is significant, simply because its enough for two train fares, gig entry and food.. maybe a tshirt if you're lucky. But not enough for a Central London Hotel Stay. Would he have really turned up on family members doorstep at like, 1am/2am? Would _you_ answer your front door at 2am? I wouldn't. He didn't have a phone, so it's not like he could have called them to arrange it. And if he did manage to borrow use of a phone somehow the *second* Andrew made contact it would have given the game away. There's no way the parents hadn't already called around if their first assumption was that he had travelled to London to stay with family. They would have reported back that he had been in contact. I don't know how far his family live from Central London either but he would have had to get night buses and idk if the Tube had implemented post midnight trains at that point, even still I think they only run on friday/sat nights. It would have taken a long time to reach the family members house. Would you really bother? I wouldn't. I'd probably just mill about n spend the night walking round, or WOULD GO BACK WITH SOMEBODY IF THEY SEEMED COOL AND CASUALLY OFFERED A FLOOR TO CRASH ON 👀
@nevadatan73232 ай бұрын
I don't think he used King's Cross as an interchange unless he got on the Bus to head somewhere. If you were waiting for a connecting train you would have just stayed on the platform or within the station watching the boards for arrival updates. He exited, and when you exit sometimes it eats your ticket altogether, so he obviously intended to get off at King's Cross. You wouldn't risk losing your ticket if you had just shelled out a lot of money for it and needed to use it still for onward travel. And also if he was heading for a different area he'd just ask for a ticket to that place just off the bat perhaps, if it was do-able. It's plausible he was where he intended to be, got off to have lunch and kill time, returned to a station (possibly another tube if he'd covered distance by foot) for his onwards journey to his actual destination

Bottom line is that Andrew MAY have returned home. You take it from there , sports fans. .... Not any info on London relatives that I've read either. ...
@MalonsMilk7 ай бұрын
Yes because I’m sure the parents made sure that all of the London cctv was deleted or inactive before they murdered him. All family members had alibis and were all home together before the search began. The family are not suspects.

Autism spectrum--? Onset of adolescent schizophrenia? Drugs? Combination of any of these? This is so awful. Did he somehow encounter a predator? My guess? Lured into white slavery/kiddie porn/forced prostitution. Idiot cops. This poor family, I just weep for them, and for Andrew. But one thing that keeps rolling through my mind is why didn't he buy a round-trip ticket? Bizarre.
@sixteenrecumbentbikes79462 жыл бұрын
i think that the return ticket wasn't brought maybe because he was planning to stay with his family in London which would require a different train ticket to be brought however it is a bit odd that he wouldn't buy one just in case he couldn't for whatever reason stay over
@RB-sm3eu2 жыл бұрын
The Dad - just one small point His jovial way of talking ! And saying he probably bought a single ticket as he was going to stay at his relative’s. Even if that were true, he’d still have to come back up on the train I’m not implying anything, I just think it’s odd

How come the father talks about his son in the past tense?
@SleighJessi6 жыл бұрын
Sam Harrison Because it has been eleven years and he knows that the likelihood of his son being alive is slim to none.

Probably his way of coping with it all. The poor guy has been to hell and back, had tried to commit suicide and struggles on a daily basis.

He said is or was my son. The man doesn't know, plain and simple, no need to insinuate.
@qassandraable3 жыл бұрын
He started in the present tense then in the same breath changed it to the past tense. He laughs when he's asked about a possibility he's already checked out, And if the dad was involved, as you seen to himply, why did Andrew buy a train ticket? What? His father put him up to buying a train ticket as part of some plot?

I wonder if Andrew was going to London to audition for a metal band?
@frostxtelepath40754 жыл бұрын
This isn't impossible, there was bands going to be there that night (or later in the day) and a band that he also liked or fell under his profile would be there for like a signing in 2 or 3 days. I think it's possible he was intending to go to the thirty seconds to Mars concert (I'm almost certain of it, that's why he took out 200 (because he forgot the 100 in his room for the ticket) the other 100 would of been for food, lodging or a ticket to just have money right there instead of having to gather it later on when he needed it.

I don’t trust him either I believe he knows quite a lot but isn’t saying and he doesn’t want anyone to find out the truth! He could have been abusing Andrew and hurt him badly but makes out he ran away... why is he always laughing it isn’t funny also why does he say that his son is dead.. how the fuck does he know that unless he killed him.. it doesn’t make any sense!! I don’t trust nor believe Kevin I’ve seen the stuff he writes on Facebook! If he didn’t kill him I strongly believe he got / paid someone to kill him!

He went of on a day trip to do something wagged school, probably decided to stay with family in London then he’s met someone in London and something Brad’s happened maybe he was kidnapped trafficked or murdered, he went to do his own thing didn’t get a return ticket because he was probably going to stay with a relative after but somewhere along the line he met someone was either taken by someone or he was lured somewhere and killed or abducted
