I love this episode A lot of emotion and true acting. Played by our beloved star trek characters. They are really inspiring to give their fans the best performance ever. Almost like the last performance, I like the story plot so far. I also like where they are going with this season. It seems that everybody is getting a chance to step up their performance.

Yeah, I have been wondering about that myself. There was a season preview where you saw Riker in a "jail" in what looked to be the Shrike. I'm starting to wonder if he is a Changeling. Maybe not, but his response is definitely not "Riker".

Except for the facials Riker was giving when the torpedoes hit. He didn't want his career to be defined by destroying the Titan-A and certainly for "Picard's final mission". The look he made right before turning towards Picard was heart wrenching to me. incredulousness, Duty, Shame, Acceptance that he must now very publicly chastise his mentor. Definitely not what a changeing would do

Very happy with the way this season is going. It's got a great action/drama balance. It flows really well. All of the main characters are recieving quality screentime - and this leads to all genders/races/orientations being well represented - thus neutralizing any "me too" flack being thrown at it. I really love the series crossover continuing also (Seven of Nine and Riker meeting...with more of it to come no doubt). And Ed Speleers is doing an awesome job as Jack Picard...and holding his own amongst the Generations/Voyager ulumni. Matalas has made all the difference to "Picard". Really hope he moves one to other Star Trek projects...and the hierarchy don't lose someone with such a genuine passion for the genre...again.

Riker and Picard have a plan. Riker never would’ve openly and dramatically, yelled at Picard on the bridge in front of other officers, “you have killed us all.” My gut tells me they know there’s a changeling in their midst and are setting the changeling up for a fall! Really enjoying the season

There is no plan. This is collapsing in real time. Picard is NOT the same man as Riker said in this episode, and we are all seeing it. I believe Lore is somehow involved in Picard's violent aggression. I also think Picard is going to be brainwashed by Lore and his positronic brain to seek revenge on the TNG crew for defeating him so many years ago.

Gene HATED the idea of conflict between the TNG crew, but they were pulling it off beautifully....until they went WAY too far. It was like that First Contact moment with Worf, but it just didn't fit with how close they are. The back and forth arguing about attack or defend was done very well, but the "remove yourself" line was a severe over reach. But what I LOVED was Deanna...letting Marina Sirtis be more of herself is a brilliant move, she is easily one of the funniest women on the planet.

Crimson Tide was an extremely underrated movie. These episodes remind me of the Gene Hackman Denzel Washington fight aboard the “Alabama”. Bravo for giving us some intense drama and tension on the bridge. Doesn’t it seem odd though of the role reversal? Riker wanting to run and hide instead of go in guns ablazing? And Picard, the peacemaker wanting to turn and fight it out? It makes for some very compelling and interesting decisions to be made by Riker. I’m still processing that last exchange on the bridge because I don’t think there is a world or reality where Riker would ever blame Picard for killing a crew of a starship given the risks, blah blah blah. It’s weird. I actually thought Riker was a changeling but if it’s true that has been confirmed to be “no” then, I dunno. I’ve rewatched it and I’m still at a loss. Lastly, this is the BEST trek season I’ve seen since lower decks. This is by far the best writing and bad ass villain I’ve seen in a hot minute. I hands down love this season so far. I hope the wrap stolen from daystrom is the corbomite deflector. At least code named. Love the titan constitution -A, love it.

Thanks for the video! :-) I'm a new huge fan of Matalas! It's truly wonderful to finally have new Star Trek after over 20 years. I didn't even like Enterprise, and don't personally count that as canon. I certainly hated everything Kurtzman did, with a loathing! But this new Matalas show is GREAT! The first time I've been able to watch or enjoy anything called "Star Trek" in decades. Matalas is a savior, giving us what we always wanted! It' just a shame we only get one season of this. Also a shame about the bad language, dark cinematography, and gritty scenarios, though I appreciate it must have been a political necessity to retain a level of stylistic continuity, in order to take this horrible show and turn it into something good, all under the pretence that it's the same show. When we all know this is something new and unrelated. Simply edit out the line about Picard being an android, and it never happened! I haven't watched seasons 1 or 2 and never will! They didn't happen! But season 3 is incredible. It's like getting 5 new TNG films all at once! THANK YOU TERRY MATALAS! someone put this man in charge of ALL THE IP!

My current thoughts, Vadic and the Shrike are not after Jack Crusher. Jack was bait. Jack and Beverly were pushed into that nebula. With the notes of other tech stolen from the institute plus how the Shrike knew Titan -A's every move even after the "bread crumb trail" stopped, I am assuming the real tech stolen is some form of precognition, future prediction. Given the Shrike is using the portal tech that was used to destroy the academy building, the Shrike has the other techs. With the ability to predict future decisions, Vadic can perfectly counter all of Titan's decisions for a specific outcome, using false obvious details to misdirect from the possibility. My thoughts of the future prediction device, Picard and Riker requisitioned the Titan A at the spur of the moment. It is very difficult to put a saboteur on a ship like that, even for a changeling, without some sort of precognition that Picard and Riker would consider Titan A over other options. This is some serious planning. For most of the battle, the Shrike could easily defeat the Titan, using the portal tech to lock it in vulnerable positions and destroy her. The Shrike's actions were primarily playing around with toys and stalling out time, like leading an opponent in a game of chess to move the pieces you want them to move. And going back to the saboteur, do you want to sacrifice an agent like that? There must be some reason for forcing Picard into the heart of that nebula, either using the game of cat and mouse to torture Picard with despair enhanced with false hopes, or the Shrike was delivering Picard and a ship to the heart of the nebula. The heart of the nebula is an unknown, so maybe something is trapped there and Vadic believes Titan A with Picard and Riker are the ones to get it out. The only other element I can see for predicting Picard's moves is the mcguffin of his body, a synthetic body similar to Data. If it radiates RF from its circuits, someone (think Lore) could read those signals and can see what Picard is thinking and observing. The changelings are another misdirection, another pawn that is also blind to the grand scheme. Also, I need to rewatch Star Trek: Lower Decks, because they had an episode involving an organic nebula, if what I remember is correct. Could have been Strange New Worlds, although.

A little change, but I now wish the trailer for Season 3 did not include Moriarty. Knowing he will make his appearance along with Lore, a plan makes sense. We may get an episode that follows Moriarty's back story from "Ship in a Bottle" to Picard S3. Either it was stored at the Daystrom Institute with the portal tech or was already recovered, Moriarty had the primary goal to be free of a holoprogram. His probable next attempt was Lore's or B4's body, trying to configure his program into an android's body, but they were Dr. Soong's early designs and not designed to be compatible with Moriarty's program. Moriarty, after Picard Season 1, discovered Picard now exists as an android like Data, but the body is compatible to other "minds". Moriarty wants Picard's body in order to take over it and finally exist as a physical being, with the added luxury of revenge. The mobile emitter that The Doctor of Voyager used may not be good enough for Moriarty. Meanwhile for the other players in this game, Vadic and others have their own plot against the Federation, and Moriarity is just pulling on everyone's strings to get his objective. Reviewing the 2 TNG episodes with Moriarty, it is possible that Vadic could be Vadic or Regina, as Ship in a Bottle created a partner for Moriarty and both were together in the memory cube. Is Barclay expected to make an appearance in Picard Season 3? Barclay would have been expected to maintain the Moriarty Cube's simulation in the simulation enhancement module. Barclay later was an assistant for Lewis Zimmerman who made the Emergency Hologram programs, The Doctor of Voyager, before he returned to Enterprise E for First Contact.

Yeah the portal weapon attack was incredible to watch while also heartbreaking. That was further accented by watching how Seven reacted.

They should've threw in charges and max warp to get out of wormhole. You have to treat this as Kirk (ST09) did to the Romulan vessel Nurada which looks like the and The Scimitar smashed together.

Moriarty is to Picard what Khan is to Kirk. They were both imprisoned in a world that turned out not to be what they expected, due to action taken by the respective captains. Now, it is M's turn to exact revenge on JLP. I expect a "Moriaaaarty!" scream from Picard, an "Admiral, Jack is dead", followed by "You Changeling beeaas'tard, you killed my son"

First of all, Crimson Tide is a TERRIBLE submarine movie…. I’m thinking AWSOME! Picard has a kid (legacy anyone?). The two fathers thing is pretty kewl for the drama of it. No comment on Dr. Crusher. The Word arc is great too. Of the three Picard seasons, I’d have to say, this is the best one.

Riker/Picard = Worf/Dahar Master Cor. In that DS9 episode where Martok's Birds of Prey raided that dominion base, his plan was to hit-and-run. Cor took command and kept on attacking, causing them to lose Birds. Worf struck Cor for his disastrous ideas. Picard pushing for fighting led to disaster for the Titan-A. Not to mention his constant arguing with the ship's captain (Riker) on the bridge was no help. He forgot how to be second in command; forgot Data's lesson to Worf.
