I’m a huge fan of Dave and his content, so it was great to see him on the podcast (which I also watch religiously). I’m also T2D and struggled to lose weight (24 lbs) on very low carb (not keto). Now on MJ for 13 weeks and down a total of 57. Still eating low carb, but I’m going to continue watching to learn more about how more produce can help my T2D. Thanks for the great content.

I used to watch this doctor's videos before my sleeve gastrectomy 4 years ago. It gave me confidence to go through with the surgery. I lost all the extra weight, but gained back 100 pounds in two years, even though I tried a carnivore diet for two years to prevent regaining. Now I'm watching the same doctor again because I'm taking Ozempic. Us overweight people face this ongoing battle, but we'll keep fighting and eventually win. Everyone has their own challenges in life, so I'm not complaining. It's just another obstacle to overcome. What really bothers me is how ignorant people feel it's okay to mock and ridicule obese individuals. It seems like obesity is the only condition where people think it's acceptable to publicly shame the sufferer. Even drug addicts get more respect than fat people. I'm also frustrated by all the baseless claims about obesity, like it's just a matter of willpower or self-control. What evidence supports that? Look at the studies showing that over 90% of people who try to lose weight end up regaining it. Does this mean they all lack willpower, or is it more logical to think there's something else going on? Obesity is genetic, and there's proof in twin studies. Even twins raised by different parents end up with similar body shapes.

Question on GLP-1 medication: What is the recommended diet consistency from the days where I have to remember to eat (just after taking shot) vs. the days where I am super hungry (days before another shot). Should I be "leaning into" the medication, or resisting for daily consistency in diet?
