Aunty we made Jadi this summer here in Japan. It was a huge success. We put it in a glass jar and kept in a warm cool place. Can really keep it for a long time if you use it correctly.

now that I think about it, Jaadi is the same process as salami but there it's fish and here it's meat. and then salami goes into a freezer.. i think that's because these countries were cold and during winter they haven't had any heaters.. Bucket list item added: meet somasiri and get jaadi..

Thank u for doing this. In a country like Italy people like this will get a protective state for their business for knowing a rare craft so that they can carry on the tradition.

Wish you diddent disturb the cook. Too much of talking should concentrate on the demonstration.
Aunty, just ignore that lady’s behaviour. She act like a child and i really doubt if she worked as a teacher as she claimes all the time.

Girl power so true! That women only talks about getting subs and shares... Anoma never talk about subs... if someone is doing well and staying humble subs will come automatically. That women call herself a teacher.... shame !

Thank you Mrs Anoma.. I have heard but never seen how to make Jadi.. Thanks for doing a valuable job for younger generation
Thank you For this video ANOMA! Brings back memories of my dad making this! We had a huge booli like the one your friend had, and my dad always made it with saalayas or hurullas if I remember correctly, he never made it with big fish. Also my dad used to use a piece of white cotton cloth tied around the mouth and then the lid on top,and it sat in a corner of,our big old kitchen! I LOVE jaardi, my mother used to fry it and make a kirikos and polsambol, with freshly cooked hot white rice, what a delicious meal it was
