Also, the only thing that gives me hope is that we are in 2nd, and Napoli's next 5 or 6 matches are difficult: Milan, Atalanta, Inter, Roma, Torino, Lazio. If they get out of that without dropping points, they deserve the title.

A very frustrating game. I agree on Lautaro. I genuinely think he's a great striker (when he's in form), but he really is a 'B' at almost all striker attributes other than maybe his pressing. As for the bench, I do think Frattesi is a spark, and I think Buchannan can possibly be a spark if he can get in good form. I guess you could say the same for Correa, though, and look how that has turned out haha

Empoli game is a big test, let’s not underestimate them. It’s only a few days after the juve game, we better turn up focused because they have some good talented players and have been playing well as an organised unit

Little side note- you probably should know the name Conceicao, as his Dad played for Inter!

What you've said at 21:25 is so true. I really like Inzaghi, but that might be the only thing he does that pisses me off. Trust your fking players and stop subbing off players on a yellow. His subs are poor too. Always so predictable and late. I think that if Pavard stayed on, we would have won that 4-2. The moment Bisseck and Frattesi came on, we lost all control. Sommer has been very sus recently, he just watches the ball go past him. Inzaghi has to start playing some youngsters. Great pod, as always guys, appreciate it.

This is getting out of hand, it seems that not only age is catching with Sommer, Acerbi, Miki etc., but we are also witnessing two factors: both Lautaro and S. Inzaghi are struggling to make that final leap in quality. For Lau, he does seem slower at everything compared to last season when he was instrumental for us in pressing, aside from obvious goal contribution. What is worrying me is evident lack of motivation and 'grinta' of our players, and surprisingly evident lack of organization and structure on the pitch. Vlahovic's goal made us look like we changed the coach three days before the match. Moreover, we were caught on the counter to concede the 3rd goal when leading 4-2 in final 20 minutes. Its a derby, we were leading 4-2, and yet we were acting like we were trailing by that much. Its completely strange that such well-oiled and experienced team like Inter, who is arguably the best team in Italy for the last 5 years, was playing in such naive and disorganized manner. These recurring mistakes are no fluke, and S. Inzaghi needs to wake up, and shake things up. If we look unmotivated, sometimes arrogant, and disorganized on the field, the responsibility must fall on the coach, as was his credit last season when we were playing fantastic football until February. Finally, the blame must be put also on new owners for failing to provide investments to upgrade the team. Its laughable to think that Marotta and Inzaghi do not see the obvious positions that need to be improved. Inter can only be great in ideal conditions, with no injuries to key players. Finally, no disrespect to Juve and their spirit, but they were playing without their only world class player in Bremer, and their best mid in Koop, despite him still finding his feet in Turin. They lined up a team that resembles a typical Fiorentina squad, and introduced young talents, some of them unfairly critized such as Yildiz, and still managed to recover 2-goal deficit thanks to our naive and lackluster approach. They have good talents, interesting potential, new and very talented coach, but team like ours should be winning this type of fixture, despite being a derby, based on our experience and quality.

This pod sums up how although there is a lot of good in our squad, we are also in desperate need of reinforcements in the right areas. A new centre back like Tah, a new speedy energetic striker (better than Correa or Arnautovic), a young wingback to give another option than Dumfries/Darmian. I disagree about Zielinski as regista being the right choice. I think Barella should have started there, and Zielinski as mezzala. I think Barella is our best choice as backup regista overall

Also I was disappointed we didn’t use primavera players against young boys, at least as subs. (Berenbruch, Topalovic, Mike Aidoo). The reason I think we should use them in champions league fixtures is to keep our main central midfielders / Dumfries fresh for the big Serie A game (Juve). Also, look at Barcelona; they beat Madrid 4-0 and they had on a 17 winger (Yamal), a 17 year old centre back (Pau Cubarsí), all the central mids are 21 year olds (pedri, Marc Casadó & Fermín López). Yet we are scared (inzaghi is) to give 1 minute to a player under 24 years of age. It’s starting to really piss me off!! We need to do better and trust in younger players. If we played Barca now we will get run off the pitch due to the simple fact their players are younger and faster. Same should be done for the Arsenal game (prior to Napoli). At least for the last 10 to 15 minutes rotate them in. Keep in mind Juve, Atalanta and Milan have the U23 team playing regularly in Serie C that they can pull players from, we desperately need to set up our U23 team as well.
