I really enjoy these videos. I’ve always been intrigued by the mechanics and magic of a fine acoustic instrument. They become so much more than the sum of their parts. Thanks for taking the time and energy to share this stuff. I look forward to them each week.

It's fussy work to get that binding channel cut, for sure. Lots of tight curves. Sure looks nice with that 3-ply material. Love the toaster idea! Thanks for the tip on scoring the inlay channels. Really productive week, for sure.

That was an extremely satisfying and well filmed video. Perfect on a cold, sunny Sunday morning. The thing I find most appealing about you and these blogs is that you're the only full time professional in a production workshop on KZbin. The rest of the people making mandolins are 'one off' makers and usually have a 'real job' or retired. Sure I love seeing other peoples workshops and methods but for me the real lesson here is your passion, work ethic and total calm control of the process, start to shipping. In fact would you consider doing a video on how you created that steady demand for your mandolins as it must have been a struggle at the start?

It was a struggle. That would make a good topic for a future video

Audey, another very informative, very well done video. I sure hope you dont stop making videos! Would you give more details on how you built your side benders? I keep busting sides even going slow. Thanks again!

Next time I'm bending sides perhaps I can give some better shots of the benders

That was really great this week. I love to see all the details. Was that a CA gel you used on the binding?
