I like to see trainers who don't have horses that are perfect all of the time. I love Tucker and that you show him even when he is naughty or nervous.

Exactly. This might sound ridiculous but I'm so glad I learned at a barn near a busy street, a lot of group lessons and lots of places for barn swallows to pop out. It taught me how to stay on better, how to deal with feared corners/spaces, and looking for clues to what's going to happen next.

I 🤔 about horse flies-any suggestions. Because fly spry hasn't work. Trail riding today all horse flies that live in central Ohio we're determined to chase my baby and I .

I love trail rides 💚 (Haven’t even had a lesson or ridden English 😅) If only I could ride more!
@Bee-kv5tx3 жыл бұрын
Another tip (not really forced but a good idea): Take another person with you, always have two riders. Make sure your horse is comfortable with other horses ofc. This is so if you fall off, you got someone to get your horse if you let go and call for help if you need it. Also it's always good to have a second pair of eyes when in an uncontrolled environment. 😊

We are blessed with 300 acres of woods, small fields, a creek, AND access to the flint river. There’s trails all over the property so we trail ride our horses every time we ride🥳🤩

FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO USES ONE REIN STOPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@diggingmary1293 жыл бұрын
I have known about the one rein emergency stop, I've never used it. I have a horse take off with me a couple of days ago and I thought about trying it but he was running so fast I thought he might roll, so I just rode it out, almost two miles!

Yay thanks for the hacks! I go on trails in my group lessons! This will help since I do ride a larger horse that it’s 12 years old and that also looks and will not stop on the trails once he starts cantering Xd.

Hi! I love your videos! Can you do one on how to help a horse that doesn't want to go out alone, or clings to other horses, or constantly goes back to the barn?
