I love how they all look like casual retired music teachers who used to play in a band and are getting the band back together just to show the youngins how it's done.

Slowhand! one of those artists all you need is to hear and you know who it is. Like Santana, Brian May, Jimi Hendrix-they have such a unique style.

Mr Clapton has had a rather long and storied career dating back some 50 odd years. His first major exposure came with the Yardbirds back in the '60s, a couple of guitar legends played in that band Jeff Beck & Jimmy Page, the power trio called Cream, Delaney and Bonnie, Blind Faith, Derek & the Dominoes and finally his solo career. This track has one of the most recognizable opening riffs in rock.

I love Eric Clapton, he is so good. Love his songs. 💞💞 thanks guy👍👍

Clapton was inspired by other greats Duane served that job well they pushed each other. As far as Patty Boyd Eric played this for her. He went back to the guys and said it didn't work. Took a few years then it worked. George got around himself. They enjoyed their fame. And all the trappings. So much so that George Called his Eric his brother in Law.

You need to check out Clapton when he led Cream, with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. Their best was Sunshine of Your Love, White Room, Spoonful. Those will knock you out.

Please, please listen to the one with Duane Allman!!!! It is the real deal. Listen to them weave their guitars in and out and around eachother. Epic as anything from Mozart or Beethoven!

Clapton is a gold mine. Check out his Cream stuff and Blind Faith too! He became good friends with Jimi when Jimi came to England. First thing Jimi did was look up Eric. "Clapton is God" was the saying of the day, and for good reason. I was fortunate enough to see Clapton some years back and he just blew us all away, 4 hrs of just wailing on it, incredible artist, performer, player and a living legend of rock history. He played Little Wing in the set and I lost it, crying like a baby. probably best thing I've had the pleasure of hearing live. Rock on!

I don't think they were friends based on the stories I've read. Hendrix blew Clapton off the stage the first time they met. Hendrix had a big ego and was very in your face in regarding his abilities/talent.
@claytonpaul42594 жыл бұрын
@@outwest1014 hendrix had a big ego? Lol wut? Do some research buddy. They were definitely friends. Clapton got an afro after he hung out with Jimi ffs lol. Jimi was also known as the most humble and shy person. Look up some interviews of either of them speaking about each other. In fact, the night Jimi died, Clapton had seen him at the club and tried to get over to talk to him because he had found a lefty strat and he wanted to gift it to Jimi but was unable to hook up with him. Then jimi died, and Eric was left with that guitar. Its all in interviews, photos, accounts from others involved, etc.

@@claytonpaul4259 I assume you were alive at that time? I was, Hendrix upset the "apple Cart" in England regarding the guitarists. One major reason was, they couldn't duplicate him (a reason there are no Hendriix tribute bands). In the first meeting Hendrix was new in England and his manager brought to where Clapton was playing. Clapton said okay. Hendrix did his thing including a complex blues riff that Clapton was trying hard to play. Hendrix played that riff easily. Clapton was enraged and felt he was sandbagged, which of course he was.
@claytonpaul42594 жыл бұрын
@@outwest1014 yes but afterwards he wasn't pissed about it and recognized hendrix' talent and the two became friends. You are only saying half the story. Look up the interviews and photos lol don't take my word for it

Awesome dude, I’m over a year at playing the guitar but now I want to learn the piano or possibly even the saxophone. You play one instrument and learn to love the others your playing along to. I think I’m just going to stick to the guitar for another year since I feel like I’m finally making a breaking point. I just learned this whole song and solo. This main riff was actually the first riff I attempted on my guitar. I learned Hammer ons and pull off before chords lol. Glad I came back and learned the whole thing. Not as hard as you think but the solo has a lot of bends. The whole song does lol

Lol part of the beauty of the solo! That's so exciting I really need to take my stab at it very soon!!!

Luniversed awesome dude, well if you ever want to attempt it, here’s the tabs I used. The video is slowed down but if you want to practice it at real speed then change the KZbin speed to 1.5x. It’s really accurate, I played it along to the live performance and I see no flaw. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJfWgHqjn5eYd68

Music: rythm, melody and harmony. Hip-hopers, rappers and crappy pop singers. Go back home, lock the doors. Don't come back until you can play 5 notes and sing "Mary has a little lamb". With no Autotune fake singing, neither studio fake tricks and tracks. What you hear is major league in music. You're still in primary school. And Billie Ellish won 5 Grammys? Music industry is a rip off.
