When he was part of the Hyde park concert a few years ago I had to listen to most of his set from the first aid tent with heat stroke- I was gutted! I managed to get out for the end and stay out to see Clapton!

Haunting, evocative voice. As good as ever, in fact, I think the gravitas of age has made his voice even better. Superb musician who makes anyone onstage with him sound better. His concert with EC at MSG was one of the best experiences. Ck it out.

If Steve Winwood didn't have such versatiliy, he would be close to the top of anyone's list of greatest guitarists. But guitar is only his third-best skill, after singing and keyboard, so it gets overlooked. The counterpoint breaks between him and Clapton would make JS Bach weep with joy - and they're improvising!

Saw Steve open for Steely Dan a couple years ago, he was amazing. I was absolutely blown away that he still has that voice while many of his contemporaries do not. I did not want him to leave the stage and wished Steely Dan opened for him.

consumed by alcohol ,sex,drugs and fame,the world,the industry these guys were just trying to get back to the pureness of heart to see GOD not to be gods.Clapton finally found out how to live in the presence of the LORD,in the colour of the LORD.he saw allover the world how everyone was going outside of the lines to find answers but to no avail.the beatles "help" and "revolution" were also songs of frustration. cries for help.the supposed generation of change .were missing the mark.good try the music and lyrics are great.but you can't just "play" for change. hearts have to change.wills &ways have to be surrendered.the best song book is still the book of psalms.
