As an INTP, sometimes I realize that I'm barely aware of my environment. My Ne ignores details that are irrelevant to what I'm thinking about, so if my dog starts barking at the door it might take me 30 seconds to even notice because I'm too focused on trying to figure out why Cheerios are rings instead of balls or something. Seriously, is it just for branding? Like to stand out? Because if so, Froot Loops totally stole their shtick. Maybe because spheres create more empty space when randomly distributed in a box, decreasing packaging efficiency. But then why put holes in the middle to create MORE empty space? Surely rounded pucks are more efficiently stored than rings. Anyway, shit like this is why I have to set an alarm to remind me to brush my teeth. If I don't impose some kind of structured routine on myself, I just disappear into my own head for hours, days, weeks at a time. I became so much more productive when I realized I'm not LAZY, I just exhaust myself when I overthink pointless crap.

INTJ here. I agree about that point regarding ESFPs gathering as much data as they can when most other types don't, but the problem is that in doing so, they gather all the noise too. All the fake data gets picked up in their beliefs and since they never take the Ni time of sifting through it all, they give that info as much credibility as the rest, seeing it as a valid point of view when if they had just taken the time to check if it makes sense with the rest, they'd see it's total bs. My ESFP mom does that all the time, and it gets on my fucking nerves.
@blacklightredlight2945 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, INTJ's and us fight a lot, because INTJs want to take a little and turn it into a lot with logic, so they miss the details. That's why I can just see someone do something, do it, and through experience learn what I'm doing. The INTJ sees it, and then starts imagining things about it. You can delve into a skill and eventually be good at it by reiterating things a thousand times in your head, but I picked up 8 other skills in the meantime, and can combine those skills effortlessly, and I've been iterating on those skills to be useful tools I can use to interact with the real world. INTJs can have good ideas, but, you really need to work on humility and spend more time understanding the world as it really is, instead of the construct you lovingly crafted in your head. I have 165 IQ, I get the superiority complex, but you gotta drop it or you'll cut yourself off from reality. That feeling of superiority, unfortunately, is an emotion that blocks your eyes, you just don't consider it one.

It's like I think that if I gather enough, my existential uncertainties and problems with going in circles will resolve themselves or something through the synthesis, idk. This isn't the first time I got into it either, I was into MBTI before some years ago. Like why am I even here on a year old video watching this? Because I'm chasing investigating ESFP as a possibility for me, hoping something will click into place that I'm missing, something more in-depth beyond stereotypes about the type. Part of me thinks I'm falling into that bias of trying to make it fit, but I think I'm driven to chase it because the alternative explanations are so incomplete. Under what couch are the remaining puzzle pieces hiding, so I can make it fit and feel secure in some sense of confidence in myself, ya know. Te, Fi or Fe with leading Se will all have trouble before they're satisfied. Simply because before value is judged to be accurate and relevant, the underlaying pattern must become apparent. Without Ne, Ni or Ti there's no endless source of information or a way to judge principle correctness (underlaying pattern). Therefore, Each of those types will have take in extraordinary amount of sensory to overcome principle thinking limitations by sheer correlation. Consequently, all you have to learn is that if you're stuck, you'll apply either Ne, Ni or Ti to find new insights or derive principle correctness.

I think when Ni is a primary, more conscious function used to figure out everything at hand, it’s easy to take for granted the deep subconscious “crystallization” mode. A major problem in INTP employment is that I'll skip straight to Si and Ne as fast as I can. I'll also be abit sloppy at the Si, not fully using it to its potential. Then I'll be doing a godlike amount of Ne, often drawing conclusions from minimal knowledge. But that's not always sufficient. Then I'll feel stuck on the project cause my logic on what to do next and how to do it can't find an answer in my Ne and Si. By the time a project has started Se is way too late in the game. Then I'll wonder *"Why am I so stuck on this, everyone ells seems to be doing fine?"* I can't possibly be stupid so why? This is why INTPs can only work with tasks that interest them cause that curiosity will drive Se like actions that they wouldn't otherwise take. Even worse whenever I have a generalized understanding (Ne) of a subject I will get bored of it and not bother learning details. *"I-already-get-this-syndrome."* Then I can bluff my way through school and uni cause even on the tests most things can be inferred (Ti) by how the questions are phrased (Ne). As long as there is some peripheral knowledge and general understanding anyway. So i wind up with alot more superficial understanding *than I think I have* on the topics that weren't utterly interesting.

What I've seen being Ni/Fi SC is that Ni doms usually disrespect gathering facts but there's a HUGE difference between Ni SC and Ni BS/BP. Ni blasters will usually work that way: gathering some data and fastly jump to conclusions, but having Ni with consume works in a different way. I see it as a constant need for finding connections but at the same time taking its time to research.
@msc83824 жыл бұрын
By nature of Ni, it doesn't give you certainty at all. Ni will try to generate patterns found in information it has seen, which then tries to compare to memory loosely. Which means Ni by itself will always give you approximate ideas or analogies, but no way to tell if they're relevant or not. This is what Si excells at. Taking time to research is just a coping mechanism so the certainty of found of solution can be determined. In other words, either relying on other people to make sense of the approximate patterns compared to the patterns of memory, or using Ti to describe the Se relationship between pattern and observation. Te can't do its work without having some certainty of patterns being coupled to the Se. This also means that anyone who leads with Te will have a lot of certainty, but not as much information as for example, Ti leading with Se or Ne. As you say, if you're a blaster or player, you're more inclined to just skip the rationality process (Te) and assume a certain relevancy based on other experiences (Si or Ni). Even if you lead with Te, the lack of Si experience could make you narrow minded. F however would not find any certainty at all combined with Ne, because little to none of the sensory patterns are used to justify the actual meaning behind obversation. More assumptions are made based on the values rather than observation. It's allowing the values to lead (adjust expectations to new observation) over the principle correctness (adjust experience to match observation). In my opinion, you'll want to be both the producer and interferer of experience; you want it to run its course until you observe any discomfort. In such a case, you'll adjust the to the renewed experience (fight), do nothing (confusion) or exit (flight).

@msc83824 жыл бұрын
Its a long story. It has to do with letting your subconscious mind believe that the information you're gathering is directly involved in survival and maintenance thereof, but giving it all the means to deal with it so it doesn't freak out. In other words: learning facts is facilitated by feeling a specific calm way (meditation gets you in this state of mind, so think mindfullness), frame of references you can use to find similar experiences (life experience) and a source of information that presents the information in such a way that speaks natural to you. I find learning the FACTS of OPS harder than learning the principles. Its because the SF style videos don't speak to me because they're constrained but chaotic. A similar thing may be happening to you. Other that that: My advice is to just keep at it, and allow yourself time to absorb the information if that's what you want.

They will have the experiences, but slowly forget all of the old experiences as new ones come in. If they are of less quality, then you slowly just become an used up shell. It gets even worse because it can happen on the reverse for ESFP's, and their weakspot is abandonment. They will grow a hatred for everyone and trust noone. This happens a ton with ESFP female's, because of the whole manchild society. They don't mean to do this, they're not hardwired to remember things well, which damages people. Infact they feel sympathy for those other people, but you can't force them to see things in you they can't see anymore. You're right about abandonment... the ones I saw are looking for prince charming to solve their problems and rescue them bc they don't want to do it themselves. They leave the esfp bc nobody wants a kid for a partner... again no accountability, not long term anyways.

Their Se Te can create a much better teaching system then most other types. Their big picture thinking adds things together for other people, instead of some who force facts down your throat ESFP as students though depends on their passion. Their Ni needs to feel certain about it, or they're just going to distract themselves. Once there is a certainty, you can't stop them, unless uncertainty builds again. If only education was like, built specifically to help certain types of people overcome their struggles, and ESFP's maybe could actually have their miracle of brilliance if they didn't get rubber capped by the ESTJ system. "Learn this, and learn this"
@Binyamin.Tsadik4 жыл бұрын
They put in the work to properly understand something before they teach it. They can make some of the best teachers if they put in the work. They end up understanding the patterns and all of the subtle nuances.

@Tommy Hass Tommy Hass Any ESFP in general. They have the tools required. Savor and Demon, as of OP's system, will act differently obviously, but both can be amazing. The real important thing is passion, you need to have something to strive towards that is worth more the pain. Mozart is also my favorite example of an ESFP. Addicted passion into music, shear dedication to improving his skills in music. and no I didnt notice

I'm seeing myself and I don't like it... The judge is still out on whether I'm really this type or not, though. I need more information. ... I know, I know, but seriously. Frankly, I wish I could collapse everything into four defined boxes. I feel like the whole world can be explained in a single sentence, I'm just not seeing it...yet. (Not to mention, the rest of the world wouldn't (want to) believe it anyway.) And yes, I do have trouble applying stuff outside of its box. I know all this stuff about how humans work; now, how to apply it to actual humans? I think part of the Se gathering game is that it's fun to do (addiction) so when everything can be defined in one or two sentences it's like, "Oh, my toy just broke."
@worldwidehappiness4 жыл бұрын
I think I'm INTP. My reason for not constantly gathering facts (Se) is that I assume that the facts are likely irrelevant. For example, why would I read all philosophical or psychological treatises that were formulated within a world that is full of violence, corruption, abuse, domination, and illusion? Wouldn't it make sense to assume that the treatises must have been unsatisfactory since the world hasn't been fixed? Obviously, you won't find a golden key if all the doors are still locked. So I just skimmed and then worked on a new philosophy. People who search through the known mistakenly think that some golden key has been overlooked. Don't bother looking. There's nothing there.
