What a life he had. He saw the Dead in Egypt in 1978 and went on a private cruise of the Nile afterwards with the band.

Bill Walton refused to accept that this moment in time isn’t, or shouldn’t be, awesome. And that each person he met wasn’t, or couldn’t be, amazing.

What I find most appealing about this man is that he's like the ultimate fan of the game with his commentary but then u realize he was also a big part of the game and it leaves you more in awe of him. His style, openess, happy going friendliness is what made him one of most special people of our generation. Definitely one of a kind.

I met Bill when I was 20(30 now) at a non basketball Corporate event. got a pic with him, and a signed basketball. I remember thinking he was just the greatest person ever. infectious smile and attitude. I rarely get emotional with celeb deaths, this one hit really hard

First Take is so much better to watch when Stephen A 🐍mith is not there. That cast right there is special. Some it’s better without SAS noise and trying to up stage everyone on the cast. It better to be seen and not heard. Love that cast without SAS. ESPN take note. Just saying

That frame at minute 1:22 tells you everything you need to know about the character and ingratitude of that man-child who spent the last few years denigrating Bill's reputation. Calm, cool and collected Mr. Walton, rest in peace!
