Great video, have watched many of your videos now! Back to school, in a way :). What microscope would you recommend for a beginner? I want to investigate jewel wear, arbor wear, control amount of oil, watch for dirt. Thank you.
@therealwatchdoctor3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Watcheyes, I use a BRESSER microscope and am very happy with it. Important is a good magnification (45*). For a beginner I'm not sure wich I can recommend.

@@therealwatchdoctor thanks for the response. I got a b&l scope from close to my home so it went very well. I find x30 to be good but i like to get even more close some times.

Hi. My Valjoux chrono's minute counter stops after 12 minutes when chrono is still working. It starts to move a bit later but will stop again at around 15 min mark. And so on. After an hour it shows like 20 minutes has past. It was resently on a full service but hasn't work properly after that (minute counter). Any ideas? I will call my watch service but just curious what went wrong. Thank you for your nice videos.

Hello Watch Doctor, I contact you because I wanted to ask you a question: I own a Fortis B-42 Chronograph and I noticed that the hour counter is misaligning more and more the more it measures the hours. After like 5 hours I can't tell if it measured 5 hours or 5,5 hours. Is this normal with eta 7750 movements? And if so why is it? Thanks for the help. Frank S.
@therealwatchdoctor4 жыл бұрын
this is certainly not normal and can have various causes. Sorry but that's hard to say without being able to open the timepiece.

Did you remember to oil the jewel for the oscillating pinion pivot on the dial side?
@therealwatchdoctor4 жыл бұрын
Hello, yes I do. Is this not shown in part 2?
@thisisbadstuff4 жыл бұрын
@@therealwatchdoctor Yes indeed I left this comment before checking part 2, although I am surprised that you would apply oil before the pinion is in place. I have left some comments for part 2 as well.
@ronnietarnacke51534 жыл бұрын
Is it normal for the valjoux 7750 day date , to click over at 12:20 and 12:35 respectively? I'm used to instant change at 12:00 , but I'm new to this movement and was just wondering if this is normal .
@therealwatchdoctor4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronnie, yes that's normal. But here are different date-shifting systems. Simply explained: 'the instant' and the slower version. In case of your watch it is true that the adjustment could be better. If I have a watch with 'slow date setting', I make sure that the date setting starts before 00:00, so that the date is already correct/changed from 00:00.
