Just did a quick search on the low profile GPU selection out there, practically there is no option out there for a bit more powerful GPU, most cards have two slots and the fan + heat sink will be too thick to fit into the case. If you are going to need a bit more graphic power, you are going to need to cut a good chunk out of the case, 3D print another case, or modding the GPU.

You can buy a little converter to go from that proprietary Lenovo charger port to USB C, so you can use a smaller power supply. That converter does "tell" the computer how much power it can draw, so you do need to make sure that you get one that says the correct wattage. (as long as the computer doesn't need to draw more than what can be delivered, at least. I'm using an old laptop that came with a 45 W brick so I figured using a converter labelled for a 100W but a USB C charger of 65 W shouldn't be an issue, and it wasn't.)

@@Benanonsafety In my experience, most games including ones listed as unsupported are actually playable. A good example of one is lego lord of the rings. The game by default has rendering issues on Steam OS, but these are fixed simply by putting a DLL file in the game folder. That is the only reaspn the game is unsupported, and it's fixed with a file. This is the case for the majority of games that are supported, or a similar issue. The games I've encountered that actually will not work are using an anti-cheat or DRM that intentionally blocks Linux play. That thankfully is in fact, not most games. Most games do work on Steam OS.

Just did a setup with a m720q and got a subpar result. Major issue being thermal throttling on both CPU and GPU. Did okay on retro 3A games/60fps but not so well on recent ones/below 30fps.

Hey - really enjoy your videos - I have to say that i like the idea of re-using thin clients for consoles/stb's. Are there any Ryzen versions of the ThinkCenter tinys that have the PCIE slot? The only 920q's I could find were Intel. I haven't been able to see images of the motherboards, to confirm PCIE availability, either.

Cool little retro/emu gamer if it's cheap enough. I'd probably look for 11th gen base though.

You should play Warframe until you unlock the Duviri Paradox, it's an open world which will be a bit more intensive for testing than just running the first mission and it's unlocked very early into the game despite being released last year. Also you should just play the game because it's good
