Etching is Now EVEN EASIER! Brass Bronze Copper Edinburgh Etch - Laser

One of my most popular videos ever is about how to Etch Brass, Bronze, and Copper. The process is actually quite straight forward after you get past just the general idea of working with "acid" and metals. I challenge you all to go give it a shot, it will blow your mind with what you can then add to your projects. But one thing that I just recently learned is that you can use a laser to help with the removal of your resist which leaves a perfect image without any fuss.

I used this basic idea for etching my makers mark on knife blades before I got access to a fibre laser at work... I used cricut vinyl on the metal rather than spray paint, but other than that much the same. I had a SUUUUPER cheap and sketchy diode laser off eBay which I used. Wouldn't even leave a faint trace of a line on the steel, but it burned through the vinyl perfectly...

how can get deep etch using this solution, because when i try for more depth it start losing detail. do u have any solution for this problem ??? I need to try your formula Thank You 😊

It's always worked well for me, but I do mainly knotwork etc.

Try electro etching with basic salt. Works for me. However, I use a sheet of plastic thas sticky on one side as a resist. Plenty of videos on both techniques on KZbin. Good luck
