Ethan don’t let that guy bother you. My daughter is 25 and still lives with me and I have no intentions of making her move out. She can stay with me as long as she wants. I myself lived with my mom and dad in my twenties and helped with bills and such. Love you Ethan, keep bringing on the videos.

My oldest just moved out and he's nearly 30, so no need to feel bad about living at home still. It's expensive out there. I've contemplated moving back in with my mom just for financial reasons and also to help her out.. Also, my kids are all grown and I'd let any of them move back home if they needed to.

Hi Ethan, I’m a mom, 2 kids. Both now grown and they live with me. They have jobs, things they have to do. It’s called being responsible! They are polite, have manners because that’s how they were raised. You and your self worth are not based on some random person who wants to bring someone down due to living at home post 18. When you look in every mirror in all these hikes make sure to remind yourself that you are amazing!! You have a strong work ethic, have manners, are respectful of every property that you visit so we can tag along with you virtually. These are all very good qualities! Be proud of who you are! And…I’m from the east coast, we call those shutters “plantation shutters.” Probably just a regional thing. Keep doing what you are doing!! 💪💪

Mike is jealous of you, plain and simple. When people attack your character, it's because of how awful they truly feel about themselves. He probably doesn't have a loving and supportive family who wants him to live with them. My son is 23, and as far as I'm concerned, he can ALWAYS live here with us. I will neverrrrr make him feel like he has to move out Houses are way too expensive, and he shouldn't have to feel like he needs to pay $2,000 and up every month for an apartment. Keep being you. We love you. ❤️

Glad his pet has a home here. He's a great cook when we do see him! It is outrageous trying to find a good apartment these days. Saving up to buy a house instead. Proud of him. Proud of you too! Never worry what other people think, Ethan. You are doing great work. Being happy with what you do makes a big difference. Enjoy your videos so much. It's smart to live with one's parents as long as housing is so unaffordable. It is a different world than I lived in at 24. It's great that you filmed the house - if you decide to have kids someday, they can see where you lived. I love that idea.

It is such a shame that home ownership is out of reach for so many young people! My son recently graduated college, got a job and relocated to a very expensive city to live in, only to be laid off in less than a year. Young people today simply do not have the same security or opportunities to own a home and start a family that previous generations did-I can’t stand it when older people bash the younger generation-everything from a college education to housing and cars are far more expensive now in relation to incomes. The days when you could graduate high-school, find a steady job and buy a home to raise a family in are gone. Our doors are always open to our kids! He knows if he needs to move back in with us, this will ALWAYS be his home. Nothing wrong with multigenerational households. We all need to look out for each other in this crazy, crazy world-keeping family close makes perfect sense! Beautiful house you have there-Take care Ethan-I always enjoy your videos!

My family and I lived with my maternal grandmother when I was growing up. It's part of our culture to live with our grandparent(s) or have them live with us. I see nothing wrong with it. It does not mean you're not successful. It's family taking care of each other. We were all a lot closer for it. I think it's sad that "Mike" didn't have the same experience.

Hi Ethan, the home is absolutely beautiful thank you so much for showing us around. That guy Mike has no room in your life. I am however concerned that he seems too obsessed and he will not leave you alone and could have a mental problem. I personally would have a quiet word with the police just to give you some peace of mind and tell them everything. You are Ethan the most amazing guy, I have watched you for quite sometime and you are caring respectful and I just love you to bits. You live where you chose to live, why on earth would you want to live on your own when you are happy living with family. I would do exactly what your doing now. All three of my kids moved at 18 for college. The last time they came home was the summer between their freshman & softmore years. They’re now 31, 30, & 26. My oldest is a teacher & body builder. She moved to Dallas 2.5 yrs ago. My middle is 30, married, blessed me with a granddaughter seven yrs ago & a grandson almost a year ago. He moved everyone to Las Vegas six months ago. My youngest’s getting married in Oct, has been working for & climbing the ladder with the same company for 4.5 yrs, & lives with her fiance about 20 mins away in Portland Oregon. I’m disabled & live in brand new a one bedroom subsidized apartment in Vancouver WA. I did get to live with my son & his family for 1.5 yrs where I got to build a special relationship with my granddaughter!! I would’ve loved to have had a large home my kids could’ve lived in as long as possible!!

Ethan - We all start somewhere. I lived with my parents while I was going to school and working PT. The way costs are I expect my kids (now tween and teen) will be living with me for a period of time into adulthood. It's common in a lot of cultures for extended family to live together, so I don't see what this guy's problem is. Probably jealous of the close and supportive relationship you have with your family. Thank you for sharing your home, it is beautiful and I'm sure many wonderful memories were made there. Wherever you go with your family you will make more.

Ethan, I lived at my childhood home for 30 years. I wanted to move out when I was in my early 20's, but my Dad passed away when I was 22, and I couldn't imagine moving away and leaving my Mom behind. I will never regret the time spent living with my parents. Yes, there were times I truly wanted to live on my own for many reasons, but I'm fortunate that I stayed and made incredible memories with them. Once I met my now husband and moved to Texas, my Mom moved in with us a year later. I had two years with her here before I lost her to Covid. Not to be too emotional here (although thinking of my parents and my childhood home makes me teary eyed), but never let anyone make you feel bad about your living situation. It is ok! I'm sure that person is jealous of you, living with your family and making memories. Nobody can take that away from you. I love your videos and wish you the best wherever you are moving to! ❤

I didn't live like a pasha and regular cleaning does my mental good. Otherwise, pretty big family house in beige tones! As you, I like the feeling that green gives me, probably because it is the color of nature. The green in the bathroom is particularly nice. Thanks for this video!😁👍 Arnaud

Oh Ethan, first of all I want you to know how much I admire the courage it took to share this adventure. You can see that this home was loved. You weren't very clear about the future of your home. I pray that this was a good thing for you and that you have another home filled with the love that you deserve. This is a nice house. You can see that it was cared for. My hope is that you have a current home that you are comfortable in and feel accepted. Please keep up your explorations. They mean more to me than I can express. My home was built in 1900. Small, basic home, two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination. But I love it. Please, Ethan, ignore whoever it is that is bothering you. I know that you are an amazing young man. The passion you put into your adventures is very clear. Keep on with your adventures. Don't ever doubt that what you are doing doesn't matter. It makes a huge difference/benefit to people's lives. Especially mine! Happy New Year and keep on going. There are those of us who support you completely. I hope you have a place to live currently where you are comfortable and feel accepted. Take care yourself - you are an amazing young man and an incredible addition to my life. 🥰

I can relate. I live in Alberta and everything is quite expensive here as well. Most jobs only want you working part time and it’s difficult to make ends meet now. I simply tell people that it’s absolutely none of their business if I’m living with my parents or in a mansion with 50 drag queens, it’s none of their business. Good luck in your family’s new chapter.

Thank you for sharing your house. We recently moved from the house we lived in for 21 years and raised our children in. It was extremely hard for me. Although I miss the house I know we will make new memories in this house ❤

Thank you for sharing your home with us! It is a beautiful house! I like that you shared some of your memories with us too. That’s the most important part. In abandoned houses, we can only imagine what the memories. It’s nice to be able to hear exact memories of a beloved home. If you hang on to those, then a piece of that home never leaves you. I’ve moved six times during my teens through my early forties. Every place I’ve lived and loved stays in my heart because I keep my memories of those places. I loved the kitchen in the basement. The backsplash color is so unique. Honestly, that’s my dream kitchen! The staircase is beautiful and I like the kitty seat area. It’s very bright and open. And I know folks have already commented on this, but, I have always lived with my family. I helped my parents with the grocery bill and my sister helped with other bills. Then my parents divorced and my mom and I lived with my sister. My mom is unfortunately in a nursing home, so it’s just my sister and I now in an apartment. Times are hard. Keep on being just “you” and I believe you will accomplish your goals and dreams. Again, thank you for this very heartfelt video. ❤

Thank you so very much for sharing. Your home was beautiful! I stayed at home with my parents until my late 40's. I left when I finally got married. You are blessed to be able to live with your family. Keep the great videos coming, I have been enjoying them the past couple of years.

Nice home, my two favorite things are the downstairs kitchen and the London artwork from IKEA ! I had the same one a few years back ! I bought it because, I love London and have been there like a dozen times and the coolest thing about it…. the bus is going to Victoria and the house I lived in at the time was… on Victoria Lane 😂 so I had to get it! I bought my first place when I was 24. Moving out while I was in my mid twenties gave me the opportunity to save money ,learn about homeownership And make a wiser decision when it was time to buy! You have a good head on your shoulders and I have no doubt you will have your own place some day soon! Don’t rush stay with your family as long as they’ll have you😉

Thanks for sharing Ethan. These transitions are bittersweet. I felt the same way when parents divorced and my Father retired and relocated to his present address in Oregon. ( I live in California. This move happend back in the late 90s when I was in Michigan). My parents built the house over the Winter of 1981 we moved in in the Spring of 1982. I was in 4th grade then moved out and into my first apartment in 1996 at 26. Left for California in 1998. Currently 53. Time moves quickly wether your ready for it or not.❤

Nice house, show us the next one sometime! As for the grumpy guy, don't sweat it you're doing great. You are still what I call a eggburt, not quite ready to fly alone but that's what you're supposed to be when you're young. Don't rush, enjoy the ride as long as you can. You have family and friends who love and care about you, that's the most important part that you need in life. You will meet those goals, I have no doubts!

Ethan your such a good guy. Don't let people get to you about things. Your doing what you feel works best for you and that's all you need to worry about. Your still young enough to love your dream. It's tough living on your own these days. Trust me I feel it every month. Shit soon may all have to move together. KEEP on being you!❤

Where are you going to live? I hope you go with your family. Don’t listen to others. I lived with my parents while I went to college, but moved out with a friend in a tiny apartment which was a mistake. Ended up moving back home until I graduated then got married. You all took great care of the house. Someday with your knowledge you will get your own home. Keep doing your videos.
