Definitely interested in how one can sand large pieces of wood (36”+) on one of the sanders. How flat can it be made across the entire width? Will the be any slight stepping or cupping created with coarser grits that needs to be worked out and minimized with the finer grits?

I’m seriously considering picking up on of the 30in model. My question can I run a 9ft board though this machine? If I build a extended fixed table for registration and outfeeding the work.

I bought the 30" kit and made a full size box for it (36" x 36") given the long and wide slabs I usually handle. I must say, it is difficult to store and move around. I actually have to attach some handles in order to be able to pick it up. its not too heavy for me but its odd shape. I wish I would've bought the 24" and made a different design for the box. May have to modify it at a later date. In the mean time, I am excited to finish up my Laundry Room project and see how it works. I will repost after I do and provide y'all will a good feedback / opinion.

Yes the 30" sanders can be very bulky, especially if you build a nice wide infeed/outfeed table for them as you have. But sometimes that extra bulk is worth it for the larger sander. Great I look forward to hearing how it works for you!

Considering the flatmaster for guitar building, specifically for sanding sides, tops and backs to thickness. This means sanding 16" wide and 1/8" thick pieces down to around .09". Any thoughts?

can you talk about the way the sandpaper is attached to the drum please? i mean is it all velcroed to the drum or just the ends? how is it fastened to the drum at the ends? thank you

The content of your videos is really quite good. But your audio is terrible. The poor audio really takes away from the quality of your videos. You guys should invest in a wireless lava Lear microphone. Don't rely on the cameras microphone it will be, as it is, terrible.
