In 2019 I had my system replaced. The AC was from 96 and was still working. After replacing it our power bill halved and our house stayed cooler.

what your experience with the ez dye? have you seen homes youve used it on and heard good success? does it add any UV dye also? has it clogged anything before? also wanted to say the way you word their options you explain it so well. should make classes on that shit. love the vids

Air handler sticker was from 2007 rated for r22 but coil had puron sticker on it , condenser serial number showed unit was from 2016 . Someone must have left blower side of air handler and installed 410a coil . Observe and protect

Yes it’s 410a but the leak is probably in the indoor coil so cud just replace the coil inside and call it a day and put line hide over line set

I'm sure you checked because you're the man, but I've seen this done and they left an original R22 coil and TXV but replaced the outdoor unit with 410 system. Hacks make us stacks though $

the year it was made, the same coil may have been used for R22 and R410a systems, with just the label and piston(orifice) different (or txv). that's what many people don't know nor realize. in many cases changing the condenser and "piston/txv" would be acceptable, assuming the evaporator coil is good and not leaking(probably not, lol)

what a great way to build trust with your clients. im going to be honest with you the company i am currently with will do repairs but will force insanely unrealistic number(3000 dollars) just for refrigerant. i am a selling tech and we charge 15,500 for a single stage trane with a xr13 which is highway robbery. i had a call today and the low pressure switch was tripped. 5 ton carrier infinity unit (15 years old) for the second floor 11 pounds of refrigerant from the manufacture . system was completely flat and quoted her 36,500 for a s9V2 and a 20 seer fully variable condenser. i respect the way you do business. you could have easily f****ed this client

How much does a typical 40 gallon water heater cost to replace? I thought I’d rehab mine by draining and flushing and replacing the anode, but..after getting the kit, I actually snapped off a wrench retaining ..thingy, the square thing with a bearing you snap to, I put a pipe on it for leverage and despite penetrating oil for days..the wrench bit it..

@@PipeDoctor I thought the penetrating oil would help, it was a “regular” (prob light duty) socket wrench but I had to use an adapter to get up to the socket that fits the anode, too much torque with the long pipe, it “wrenched” it right off..

99% chance, it's the evaporator coil smoked at the u-bends on the back side. lol, not like it's the first of that brand/manufacture coil to do that..

Sadly People are strap for cash. It looks like they are a young couple. I would have requested a lower price of the home to help cover for a new air conditioner. In St.Louis the air conditioner and furnace and roof have to pass inspection before a home can be sold to lower the burden on the new home owner. Great Video!

Here are the rich people from diff nations that are clueless about everything but tech. Here you would never see that. Hell the guy would have half the AC apart when you got there LOL. But up there you have people that can afford to pay people to do stuff for them. Here, people its very spread out (the wealth). So they DIY. Just watched a DIY mini split install (from amazon) with a harbor freight vacuum pump and manual manifolds. People will do anything to save money YET spend it on ridiculous things that are over valued when they could be in comfort vs have something in the garage they can drive 10x a year. If you can afford to do that, im happy for you. Just dont buy a 650k Ferrari and drive the splitter up on the curb.
