Hi Emmerald, I apologize for the delay in my reply, I like to put the butter towards the end since it's just to enhance the taste, approx. 10 minutes before I take it off the heat. - thank you for watching.

Hi Winnie, I did not literally mean to eat misir wat with sour cream :-( usually with a spicy sauce, we have cottage cheese (or in my case sour cream) on the side to dip the injera and sauce to cut down on the burn on your tongue from the berbere - thank you so much for watching.

What about putting ginger with the garlic? I think some Ethiopian cooks do that.
@EthioMimiskitchen11 жыл бұрын
HI Daniel, I apologize for the delay in responding to your questions, how you know it's cooked is when the lentils are no longer crunchy - you can taste a little and if if's chewy or crunchy it's not done yet, the whole cooking time should probably be about 30 to 45 minutes. thank you so much for watching.
@keraman211 жыл бұрын

The basis of all spicy (key) Ethiopian dishes is the Berbere. You can never replace it. If cooked with Paprika with all due respect, it seizes being Ethiopian food.
