One of the best. My mom also uses kale. She says the American colored greens taste different than the ones in Ethiopia and kale is more closer to the Ethiopian version. She sometimes adds small cubes of potatoes which takes it to a whole new level. 😋😋😋😋

Amena, your gomen looks so delicious!! Thank you for reminding me the chopper to chop the kale; I have one like yours but I was chopping by my hand and it's a bit time consuming as you know! I watched this habesha girl's gomen cooking video, she used tomatoes too and I have been adding chopped tomatoes ever since and the gomen tastes delicious!!! Try adding tomatoes next time and see if you guys like it!!! Love you both and wish you a wonderful, blessed and healthy 2020🇪🇹🇸🇩

I can only say thank you. I have cooked kale twice within five days. I used to hate because it is hard even after cooking. In salad is worse in my opinion. I blended it the way you did. Used all of the recipes you used except cardamom powder but girl, it is outstanding!

Thanks for recipe. I used collard greens without stem and blanched them for a minute prior to stir fry.
@renatehaeckler9843
@renatehaeckler9843 3 жыл бұрын
After you wash the greens put them back in the bag and freeze them, then you can just crumble up the stiff frozen leaves and it's really quick and easy. If you have whole leaves you can then pick out the stems, too because they don't break like the leaves do.

I am weird because I don't like collard greens - I don't like the vinegar that people add to it here in the south (Texas) when they cook it, but I may actually like the way you cooked it, and of course the Kale as well...I am vegetarian, so it looks like the perfect meal. :)

@sweetsour464
@sweetsour464 4 жыл бұрын
@@mickymouse2445 pride issues wouldn't exist in a young married couples life because they know that they are joking out of love. But maybe you mean that that the pranked one can feel bad of the strangers negative comments. To make that not happen, the pranked one must be 100 % convinced to let people see it before posting it out for the viewers.

Hi guys. I am a fan of ur channel. I have made Gomen a couple of times. I usually make it around this time of the year. I am not Ethiopian but I enjoy the food. I was interested when I went to New York 5 yrs ago and have introduced the food to my children since then. I searched all of Philly for the spices and ingredients, which was hard to do. Last year, I found an online store that sold spices directly from Ethiopia. I make my own niter kibbeh. I would love for u to suggest other foods to cook.

Hey Anam & Hubby Just saw your video on Ethiopian greens dish the u used Kalle instead but next time use organic but still wash them. My daughter always wash her greens in a beached /dish soap then rinse very good so u can wash the greens really good. I will tell her about your green dish so we can try it. Yes that's right about cooking in only stainless steel pots & pans plus only eating out of Corelle or Corningware dishes (u can get a set)or just the dishware setting u Ned plus cups & etc. These are safer than any recyclable dishes(check what )plastic is mead out of. You can check Goggle regarding materials, correct codes on bottom of everything. I personally don't trust all or any recyclable ites. I know it's a lot 2 check but it's worth it now a days if u know what I mean. Keep on doing what you guys do. 1LOVE - JAH LOVE - PEACE BE WITH YOU BOTH 😊
