DC comics Lucifer isn’t really a hero but he’s so powerful that everything is sort of an inconvenience rather than a threat, so that’s pretty cool as well.

Etrigan The Demon created by Jack Kirby in The Demon#1 1972. He was one of the best characters created by Jack Kirby. I find this character even more interesting than most of his Marvel creations. I have his appearances in Saga Of The Swamp Thing issues by Alan Moore.

An origin story of Etrigan, and you mention nothing about the influence of a Prince Valiant comic, (Valiant using a goose carcass as a mask, the webbed feet appearing as ears), on his appearance, nor do you mention the very first time Etrigan speaks in rhyme, only that Alan Moore introduced that trait. Would have been a nice tidbit to give out, to include what he said beside the transforming rhyme.

Kirby later went to DC after he left Marvel. I’m not sure, but I read that he moved in order to get his New Gods stuff published. It might have been part of his DC contract that he had to create X amount of characters during his time there.
