Eukaryotic DNA replication elongation | DNA replication in eukaryotes lecture 2 - This video lecture is going to explain the elongation of DNA replication in eukaryotes. This video will teach you the enzymes for eukaryotic dna replication and the steps of eukaryotic dna replication. DNA replication in eukaryotes is carried out in three different stages -
DNA replication initiation in eukaryotes
DNA replication elongation in eukaryotes
DNA replication termination in eukaryotes
So, Stay tuned to learn the detailed steps of eukaryotic DNA replication including the eukaryotic dna replication elongation with the help of this video. DNA replication elongation steps are different than the prokaryotic dna replication and this lecture will explain the exact steps of starting the process of replication elongation in eukaryotic cells.

sir I had one doubt, does RNase H and FEN1 acts together for termination on both strands? Or RNase H and FEN1 works together for leading strand, whereas for lagging strand only FEN1 works?

First of all thank you for such amazing videos. I just have a doubt, wherever I am reading about the size of Okazaki fragments in Euk and Prokaryotes, it's given that in Prokaryotes the size is 1000nucleotides and in Eukaryotes it's 100nucleotides, but according to your video it's just the opposite. Can you please clear this point?

Yes, the size of Okazaki fragments are 1000-2000 nucleotides in prokaryotes. And 100-200 nucleotides in eukaryotes. (Pathfinder Lifesciences 7th edition; Pg. No : 115)

Sir, In SC rastogi book, polymerase alpha is for lagging strand ,polymerase delta is for leading and polymerase epsilon is to repair the DNA... So, can you please please confirm it .I'm confused - -

I also have the same confusion. Even in previous videos, Sir have mentioned that delta is for leading strand synthesis and alpha is for lagging strand synthesis.

Since this RNase process is used in the leading strand why pol delta is filling up the gaps? Pol delta is used to synthesize the dna in lagging strand right ??
