Fucking love this movie. Such a cult classic. True story time: This movie came out on DVD (yeah that old) shortly before the 2006 World Cup - something I had ZERO interest in. Two of my close friends had played international football since they were little and cajoled me into watching the tournament. I was immediately hooked. I obviously had a national team to root for, but I needed a club to root for. After watching this movie; I had my team. They were at the top of the game at the time, had one of the best managers of all time, and one of the top two best players EVER at that time (Ronaldo). Once I saw this movie, I knew I had the right team. I will say that my biggest disappointment was that, “If you’re not a Manc, you’re a wank!” wasn’t an actual saying amongst fans. Such a great and underrated movie.
