Definitely a nice car, and a way more sensible alternative to the iPace than my move up the mountain of the PCP devil… My CT due end of month, beginning of April so be interesting to compare it on the road to my iPace experience, especially as useable battery is about the same at 84. Will have to be more sensible next time round though so this or an Ioniq 5 (I do like the retro hatchback of that) will definitely be on the list.

Is it my imagination or is there more cabin noise? Even the voice recognition had a problem just before you charged. I'm really looking forward to a range comparison with your iPace.

That was my fault I realised I had the fan on max after I finished.

Actually another point on this. With the iPace videos I almost always had to apply noise reduction here I didn't

Extremely limited Road noise.We actually use the “dynamic”or”cyber” settings or it sounds like the wind.

How long after purchase did it take for the car to be ready for collection?

That is a long story. We preprdered when first announced confirmed early September and the car arrived at the dealers in November but the agreement for supply was with a tow bar and with the heating working. Both of which took a while and there was a chance the company might reject due to the delay hence my hesitancy to confirm what I was getting.

Hi Garry. I've just ordered the same spec car in yacht Blue, so looking forward to this arriving in mid Feb 2023. I have theee quick questions if you're able to answer; Is the built in navigation better to use than Android auto (Google maps)? Also, when you pulled up the list of nearby charging stations, is this updated dynamically when new ones become available, or will the sat nav software need to be updated? And finally, are the software updates OTA or via USB/dealer? Great vid, and looking forward to watching the rest of them.

Driven this and model Y and the Kia is so much better. Model Y suspension was awful.

Great video Surround camera view in Kia EV6 GT Line, I have found this unreliable when judging the distance of my vehicle from say a parking line in FRONT of me. The surround camera view suggests I am on the line in front of me when you are in fact 30-40cm away from the line. What has been your experience?

Great video and interesting to see the EV6's features. I particularly like the blind spot visual that pops up when you indicate; perhaps all cars should have this feature?

Was looking until I realised my I pace replacement although 26k more against a GT line was cheaper per month due to apr 4% difference.so back to ipace for me.

Hi Garry, does the car respond to the speed limit signs on side roads, and do you find the heat pump helpful. I have the same car as yours on order, in white, trouble is the delivery date keeps being put back.

Yes it does respond to speed limit signs combined with GPS based speed limits. It's difficult to work out when the heat pump is in use. I've always felt heat pumps will give better economy than a ptc heater and the contract hire rate actually went down when I added the heat pump.

If you could get the spec of i pace that you wanted and cost wasn't an issue would you have got another i pace?

Probably. Definitely missing some things - the headlights on the iPace are way better for example.

@Garry - The EV Owner Channel (EV6 was iPace) I keep looking at the EV6 and think it's a lovely car but there are just a few things on my i pace that I'd miss too much, I prefer the info screen look on the i pace too the EV6 just looks a bit basic, I think they missed a trick with all the little blue icons looks a bit old fashioned. I guess it's what you prefer as many people like it. Will be interesting to see how the next few weeks go in the EV6.
