I’m from New Zealand where our USE of English IS unrecognised by its people , which is NOT GOOD WE CREATE PATHS WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND . Simply because we do not UNDERSTAND English structure As a CHILD OF GOD I stand for my nation & pray we share wisdom like such …. God bless you for sharing such knowledge

Hello . I want to ask a question about morphology . I am not a native speaker and I am studying morphology for the first time . So , when you were explaining that there is just one morpheme in the word " cranberry" 🍒🍒 you said that it is so easy to recognize the word berry , but I found it so difficult , to be honest it's the first time to know the meaning of the word cranberry . So I want to know how to recognize the morphemes inside any word . I am so sorry, I was speaking too much.

Mmm interesting! 😊😊

Hi Amira. Yes, this is a tricky issue. For some speakers, it may be relatively easy to identify the "berry" in "cranberry" (because those speakers may be familiar with words such as "blueberry, raspberry, blackberry", and so forth). I think the only sure way to recognize the morphemes in words is to become fluent in the language in which you're trying to identify the morphemes. The more familiar you become with the language, the easier the task will be... and you're not speaking too much!

Great video, thanks! It’s worth pointing out that not all Romance languages use “to go” with a future meaning. Italian, for example, does not. If you say: Vado a fare una passeggiata [lit. I’m going to do a walk], the meaning implies movement, i.e., I’m going (with the purpose of) taking a walk. So, it would simply translate as “I’m going for a walk”.

What about the atrocities made from US in Vietnam , Irak and Afghanistan. The memory is short when it comes to political interest.
