Got this recipe from a hairdresser a long time ago and it works like a charm! Recipe for a bleaching bath: 5 grams conditioner 10 grams shampoo 15 grams water 40 grams developer 20vol./6% 40 grams powdered bleach

@Rachel Harville I don't know, it's the recipe that I got from that hairdresser. It's only 5 grams so I think you could leave it out and use an extra 5 grams of shampoo instead if that makes more sense to you 😊

@@anni.rodgers1 I think you can do it on both, from what I'm reading in other comments. 😊 Bleach baths are usually done to strip out semi permanent color, and that proces goes pretty quickly. At least that is what I use them for.

@@PorcelainWitch28 thank you for your quick answer! do you think i can also use this on a permanent color (which is surprisingly fading fast for being permanent) or should i just bleach regularly
@PorcelainWitch284 жыл бұрын
@@anni.rodgers1 I don't feel like I could give my advice about that. Since I don't know what condition your hair is in, how dark the color is that you want to remove, and where you want to go with your hair color. I put actual leave in dye in purple conditioner form but watered it down is the only reason it's not bright orange. It's like pale orange brownish at my roots. And the rest is having a life of its own. Does bleach also make ur waves come out more bc since I've been bleaching my hair, I've straightened my hair less & just put in leave in conditioner bc it doesn't take much. My hair isn't gonna try & stay straight. It's just that my waves r really loose

my bleach horror story was from like 2015, I dyed my hair fuchsia to orange ombre with Splat hair dye. my hair was near to my waist and after a couple months my natural blonde roots grew out like 4 to 5 inches. my mom didn't like the natural roots showing so we went to her hair dresser and the lady tried a bleach bath first and nothing happened. Note that when I got in the chair I told the hair dresser that if she couldn't get the color out with a bleach bath then I wanted her to just color my roots to match the rest of the color in my hair., I guess she forgot or something but she used professional 40 volume bleach on my hair that was only dyed once, she left me under the heat/dryer machine then proceeded to tell the other girls to rinse me out after 30 minuets and she left to go out dancing with her friends. I was probably under that dryer for like 45 minuets to an hour. My hair was ruined! My hair went from almost waist length to just above shoulder length and was urine colored and SO crispy! I was lucky to have my now current stylist notice me still under the dryer and wash the bleach out of my hair right away after asking why I was still sitting under the dryer, she chopped off most of my hair until it was about shoulder length and gave me 4 free keratin treatments. I legit had the worst fear of hair stylists and hair salons for the longest time.

me watching Evelina use box dye 🥴😭 ilysm but if anyone reading this is thinking of doing the same plssss get powered lightener & developer!! Also look into Olaplex. It will save the integrity of you hair from sooo much damage done while bleaching. Just keep in mind that when you mix it into your lightener & developer it weakens your developer so you want to go 1 vol up when using Olaplex. Soo if you use 20 vol regularly, you use 30 vol with olaplex... and lighten your roots last because the heat from your scalp processes them much faster than the mid-shaft and ends xoxox edit: I want to add that your hair will only lighten so much during one process so if you have super dark hair it may take two or three times to get it light enough to add vivid colors, gray or pastels. Take at least a week break between sessions, the longer the better. After an hour (usually sooner) the lightener won't lift anymore, so never leave it on any longer than that.

I wanted to dye it pink afterwards, and didn't want the blue tones making it come out more purple. I spent weeks using dandruff shampoos, dish soaps, and a few bleach rinses to try and fade the colour out. I turned green and the green was NOT budging. I tried a full on bleach afterwards and it didn't do a single thing to take the green out. So now I'm green AND straw dry. I eventually died a light brown over it because I didn't have many options. My hair was basically straw all year afterwards.

Hei fra Norge! :) Takk for videoen, det var den betryggelsen jeg trengte for å teste ut bleach bath selv og det funket dødsbra!

I don’t have bleach horror stories, but I had blue and green in my hair and I could not get rid of it. I dyed my hair black and it still stayed blue. I tried like 3 or 4 times to dye over the blue and it would still show thru each time. Took ages and only went away when I finally cut it my hair.

Oh no haha! 🙈 that sucks! Have you tried to use a colour remover? I used that on my dark blue hair and it turned blonde instantly! (video on my channel)

I wish I knew about bleach baths in my teens. I bleached my hair and dyed it bright red. When my roots started to grow out, I bleached it again. My hair was so lifeless... like a rubber band. I had to cut it all off!

Question for the hair stylists, I used to do blonde highlights and now I’m just going full blonde but my ends are now a bit darker (orange) compared to my roots, can I do a bleach bath to make it match?
@marisamunguia8883 жыл бұрын
From a girl who has done multiple things to her hair,i say yes you can just becareful time it well and just be checking every few minutes to see how lightened it got i had to do 3 bleach sessions and it was bronze the first time the 2nd orange and 3rd it was like her hair blonde :)

Make sure the box says what level the developers are for anyone that’s going to use a bleach and also try to use a coloring protein and or reds/orange as a base before doing a dark tone as a brown something.

One that has traumatized me forever(which is why I'm having issues and wimping out now)...ya know those ridiculous cheap plastic hair caps you can get with holes? And you reach through and pull out the hair you want highlighted with a hook thing? My Mom and sister helped me...and when we went to rinse it in the sink, all of the pieces pulled through had turned to MUSH and broke off!! 😭😭😭😭💀 And I have very fine, thin, flat hair to begin with. The issue I'm having now(if anyone happens to see this and can help), is that I'd finally grown my hair out and it was fully natural. I'm naturally blonde but like 99% of blondes, it keeps darkening. It was..idk a very very dirty blonde or very light brownish color. I didn't bleach or lighten in any way, but colored it purple using Arctic Fox semi permanent dye. Well, now I decided I wanted a BRIGHT purple(or maybe another color), so I bleached it with manic panic bleach kit. TWICE. The roots are more yellow than blonde, and most of the length is a funky light green. Afraid to bleach again, even though my hair feels fine. But I have the yellow roots, light faded looking green on lengths, and even a couple spots I semi missed when bleaching, that's darker. Wtf??? 😥😥😥
