Back in '82 for an R&B artist, a video like this was MONEY. Good for them to get two videos out of the location. I don't remember a lot of R&B videos of that time shot on location.

Yes, thats very true! And unfortunately for Black R&B artists it really wasnt a good investment to make a video for your songs! MTV wasn't playing Black artists back then and BET wasn't showing music videos until around 1986....So not many people even had a opportunity to see these videos! But its Great that they did, because now we get to see it and reminisce about the Greatest decade in American History! 1980's

The things that people take for granted now. Good videos were hard to come by, this one even had credits, there was a big investment in ECK back then. I remember hearing her 1st song in '78 while heading from NYC to PA my brothers driving.

It seems like Evelyn had huge investment/ backing back then, especially for a black woman R&B artist like her. She had several music videos well before MTV started playing black artists. Only Donna Summer and Diana Ross would’ve had similar backing at the time this was filmed, but they were more pop than R&B like ECK. MTV wasn’t shit for the way they treated black artists back then.
