It's been said that the six members of the search team who had the honor of being a part of the 1999 Mallory and Irvine Research Expedition had lost important artifacts from the site where George Leigh Mallory lay, at near 27,000 feet (8,200 meters) on the north face of Mount Everest in Tibet.
In this interview with Everest historian Jochen Hemmleb I ask if any of the artifacts were lost or misplaced and exactly how each item was catalogued. Jochen reveals important details in the search for answers in the Mystery of Mallory & Irvine.
