Something about the music of Skyrim, Secunda especially, transports me to this wonderful space of peace, calm, happiness, and adventure, and a feeling of being so connected with something. Along with that comes a feeling of deep nostalgia, a bit of sadness, almost as if I am missing a place that feels like home. To miss the great hall of Dragons Reach, the warm fire lit glow of the Inns and taverns, the birch filled autumn forests of riften, the babbling brooks and rivers of Solitude, the cold and howling winds of the Throat of the world, the eerie, hauntingly beautiful glow of black reach. Moonlit nights under the aurora and stars. All of it feels like a place I dearly miss, yet alas, it is not real. What an odd feeling to miss a place that has never existed and I can never truly visit, yet what joy that I have experienced the encompassing beauty of such a place. This game means so much to me, it has gotten me through some of my darkest days of anxiety and depression and I am very thankful. Thank you for this video, it calms and soothes me to let me fall asleep soundly. Well met traveller.

Never played this game but I understand :s I still play WoW occasionally and it used to be a nice way to escape and feel less lonely, but now I simply tend to listen to the beautiful music of such games to try to stay sane, empty my mind and fall asleep... Well, we don't need only another world to escape our own, we need more logic and compassion in this one, and to love it like it's our only one; cause it is. Fantasy is great and all but it's not enough imo (tbh I can hardly enjoy it, again, and this time it's probably permanent because I can't stop thinking about the real world). Our world is FUBAR at this point but if we unite there is still some hope. Too bad it's not really happening yet... most ppl don't care at all.... p.s. Agreed, falling asleep to ambient music is one of the very few things that remain great when your mind is beyond troubled/exhausted. This channel is kind of saving my life atm.

I just wanted to say God bless all of you in life. Secunda makes me think about how simple life was as a teenager, I think about my aunt and my dad. me and my dad didn't have the best relationship. I was very close with his sister my aunt they are both gone now cancer took both of them from me. Dad in 2021 and my Aunt in 2020. My cousins lost their mother very young and their Uncle (my Dad) and now here i am a young man without the both of them in my life any longer. It makes me think about when I would bring my xbox 360 to my Grandparents house in Upstate NY. My grandparents were on a trip so me, my aunt and at the time two little cousins with my younger bother went up to get away from the city. I helped her with the kids a lot since i was the oldest especially with the youngest, holding her a lot but, i remember after everyone went to bed that i was playing skyrim and my brother was also watching me play. Hope all of you are doing well in life.

November 2014, I am 12 years old. Outside the window there is typical late autumn weather - the sky is covered with clouds, there is no sun at all. The trees have shed their crowns, it’s gray and cold all around. I take my eyes off reality and look at the monitor. My character is in Markarth, standing on the balcony near a bottle of wine and an empty mug. I watch two moons in the dark sky of Skyrim, they are enveloped in the northern lights. The song Secunda started playing in the background. Almost 10 years have passed, but I still remember. Thanks for the memories, Bethesda.

This game, it just means so much to me. It’s like my home, my one quiet place that I can spend hours on hours doing quests, defeating dragons, and admiring the wonderful beauty of the nature around me whilst I’m out exploring. Whenever I think of Skyrim, it makes me feel at peace. Whenever i play Skyrim, it makes me feel at peace. This is a place I’ve lived in but will never be able to visit. This has been my escape, my aesthetic. All of the many different quests make it so unique, so life like. All the different things you can explore and find, all the little easter eggs that make you want to find more, and then seeing that you’ve spent hours and hours, even though it’s felt like minutes. There’s just something odd about this game, something no one can figure out. It just feels right. You just get lost in this game. You get sucked in the screen. Getting lost in the woods, exploring new lands, admiring the beauty of all the small details in this land. You don’t understand why it make you feel happy, you just let it happen. I’m really trying my hardest to put all of my thoughts on this game, but if I did this would go on for miles. Take a few hours in Skyrim to just look around. No quests. No fast traveling. Just go off of the trail. See all the things that are eating to be seen. Safe travels, friend.

This game will always hold such a special place in my heart, and has brought me so much joy throughout my childhood... I remember watching my mom play it when I was little, I remember her always making me close my eyes during the Helgen execution scene, I remember cheering her on as she fought dragons, and when the day came that I was finally old enough to play it myself, you have NO idea how excited I was! Even if my mom wasn't there, I still remember closing my eyes whenever I would play through the Helgen scene until I felt I was “old enough” to handle it. I remember always asking my mom to do the tough battles and quests for me when I was stuck. I'm almost 15 now, so Skyrim is one of the games I spent most of my childhood playing. She doesn't play it often anymore and is a lot busier now, but sometimes she'll walk into my room as I'm playing it and I'll bring up those memories, and the times we would spend talking about it and playing it together... I don't think I'll ever stop playing it. Skyrim always has and always will be one of my favorite games of all time.

Dwarven horns raining slowly down from the mountains letting you embrace the very moment and showing you how beautiful every single piece is. You can hear the Blacksmith already hammering swords and melting armors. The Rain slowly dropping on the stones on the pathway below you, Children wandering around playing. You take another deep breath, you take a clear look. You see whiterun in the distance with its majestic walls slung around it with all the little farms placed in the surrounding. You feel the power of the gods flow through you, pushing yourself to do your best as always. You hear wolves howling and guards roaming around.

It is 7 and 20 minutes (no hyperlink, yay) on january 19th, 2019. Its dark, night, and rainy. Its a saturday night, and everybody just wants to chill. No parties, no loud music. Just sit, listen to the rain, enjoy the silence of man and the noise of the sky. Ive chosen to add some good, fitting music for myself, after listening for a while, and here i am. Beautiful

This game has a certain way it pulls you in like a fish stuck on a fishing rod. The mountains are so majestic yet they hold the most fearsome of foes. There was a path I was walking when i saw beautiful autumn leaves over the huge snowy mountain. For a game to do that so well and so long ago it is phenomenal. I first thing i noticed is the music in this game. The music felt like it could make you fall asleep faster than hypnotism could but also has a powerful, nordic feel behind it. All the Elder Scroll games are great but in my opinion this is by far the greatest one.

This brings back so many memories of playing at 4 AM, survival mode on and I was tired, hungry and cold. I would be on my horse, going down to tundra homestead (creation club). I would get home and my children would be waiting for me and then I would go inside and see my husband. God, thank you so much for this.

I personally love the sound and visuals of rain. Let it be real life or virtually in a game, it calms me and I always sleep better on rainy nights. Combined with the night soundtrack of Skyrim I feel like I just found my dream music, it's calming and I forget about my problems and anxiety. Thanks for making this and all the other Skyrim soundtracks. I'm sad I haven't found your channel sooner ^^

I’ve been listening to the Skyrim soundtrack as ambient music for ages, but never played the game before… logged into steam a couple of days back, and saw the special edition was on sale for £8. Downloaded and logged in for the first time yesterday, and the moment I was out of the castle place where the dragon attacks, the ambient music started. Felt like I knew it all along even though it’s my first time logging in… wish me luck!

Just listening makes me so sad and nostalgic. I love this game and everything within it and It saddens me to think that Bethesda might never make a game that even comes close to this, not because this game is hard to top, but simply because they’ve changed so much as a company and sadly, not in a good way either. I hope I’m wrong and the next ES game is just as good or even better but damn, i just hope we get something beautiful again. This game was fantastic, I wish I could play this game for the first time over and over again.

This takes me back to the days when I was little, right after my parents divorced. Before my dad married his new wife he would stay up playing games a lot, and I would a lot of times wake up to this ambience. I would sit out there with him and watch him play until I fell asleep on the couch. That was years ago... I miss moments like those.

@@adgrimes1981 I feel you man, I actually disliked Skyrim at first, i had it in my Steam library for 3-4 years and I didn't even know why I bought it, but last year I was just bored and I was searching my library to see my games and I saw Skyrim and I said to myself I will give it a try (I never even installed it but i've watched few short clips on YT before it) and ever since I am so into it. I tried WoW many years ago but I was too dumb for it I guess, maybe cause my English then was shit I didn't understand the game.

This is the game that opened my eyes to the open world/RPG genre. I’ve spent over 800 hours on this game on my first character on the 360 alone and when I boot up that console and play my old character from time to time for the memories I just find it remarkable that just when I think I’ve done everything I find something that I’ve missed. A small location in the middle of nowhere or side quest I missed out on. Sure its nothing big but it still feels seismic when you realise that there’s still stuff out there, stuff you’ve missed, and it makes you want to keep going. Then when you keep going and you spend more time in the world, and when you leave Skyrim, it’s like leaving your house. That’s the wonder of this game that separates it from all others. The fact it can make you feel that way. That you can miss the experience of just being present in the world and the way you can do nothing but roam and still not be bored. Although it does have its flaws and I’m much more critical of this game nowadays being a huge fan of rpgs it won’t take away the fact that it was a truly magical experience that I wish I could experience again. A real bastion of nostalgia. I could go on forever about how this game helped me in my life but I’ve already dragged this on. I couldn’t thank Bethesda enough for this amazing franchise but I’ll say thank you anyway.

The tall grass saying with the calm air, the clouds drifting above head, some people traveling too, from time to time, some familiar faces now and then. I am writing my thesis while listening to this, and some other Skyrim music ambience, on repeat. It realy helps to focus and get in a right state of mind. There is something calming in Soule's music. It is so simple, almost minimalistic - two instruments playing simultaniousely, but so elegant. And the rain with cicadas add so much to the atmosphere. Great mix!
