Everquest ISBoxer Tutorial Viewer FX

This is part 2 of a series where I do a tutorial on how to set up ISBoxer and Innerspace to work in Everquest. This is the second video in the series and will go through the steps of getting your characters set up in ISBoxer so that you can set each character to a hotkey and be able to switch to that character anytime you want without having to alt tab.
I also show how to set up a social hotkey in Everquest for an incoming macro for both the tank and the enchanter as examples. I then give examples in game on how to set up the social macro's for spell casting so that way you can set up a hotkey, just like you did for invite or follow, to cast spells in a specific order you wish, with just hitting 1 button, either just once or repeatedly depending on how you set up the macro. Next I show how to set up Video FX Sources and the Viewer on my Shadowknight so I can see what my character's are targeting and if they are casting a spell or song.

Love this so far. Out of curiosity is there a reason your dot is at the bottom of the rotation? When using dots, always apply first to capitalize on damage.

Thanks for the kind words! I keep the dot at the bottom due to the recast. If I have it first it will refresh before I can get more than 1 nuke off so it will continually be recast often, in the spot I have it, it maximizes the damage without wasting mana recasting the dot again and again

During raids your are right i would cast my dots as soon as i cast my dissonance spell then my direct damage spells but even those i always cast in a certain order due to recast or damage. I always cast mind twist first then strangulate line followed by the disenpower line on incoming or as often as i can i cast the nuke that gives mana back to the group also

i know this may be late in the game but win i get my viewer up finally it comes across blurry is there away that is fixed or do i just have to suffer with it?

How do you set up the social hotkey in isboxer i have my socials on hot bar but not sure how to link them together threw isboxer

I'm not sure what you mean by the social hotkey? which hotkey or macro are you having a problem with?

@@rexdolaorn542 hmm maybe it’s called a key map? I want numb pad 1 to broad cast assist and auto attack on all toons but not sure how I do that

oh alright. For the Keymap yes you need to set that keypress to num pad 1, and make sure under options in Everquest for your keybinds there that the hotbar 1 button 1 to num pad 1 for all the accounts and have the assist/attack macro on that key for each character.

How do you stop them autofollowing? I watched the first vid and this one... They now follow just fine but how do you stop them. (New ISBoxer user)

Hit the broadcast key, move your a and d keys to turn them left or right to break auto follow, then stop the broadcasting

Also, you skipped the part explaining how to pull up the fx viewer. You cut yourself off mid sentence then next thing I see is a green box with no explanation on how to open it. Could you fix that. It would make the tutorial more effective as I'm currently stuck on what to do with that part

Sure i will fix that part. To get there when you did the wizard it had a key combo to open that if you didnt change that it should be the default control+shift+alt+g

@@rexdolaorn542 nice thanks! First time user of IS boxer. Sorry just one more question. When I loaded the profiles up on my main screen, its only showing a green box. I did turn on Aero I think through my taskbar settings. Do you have an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

When you are setting up the FX Source, you will see a green box come up that is what you can move around and resize to whatever part of the screen you want to see on your main character when you set up the FX Viewer. Then when you set up the FX Viewer on your main character it will again be green boxes that you can move around and change to whatever you want. To see it, you can test it out on one source with a character then on main character set up a viewer then hit control+alt+shift+g again to close the ISBoxer UI and you should then see it as it looks normally in game

@@rexdolaorn542 much appreciated! I got through this part finally and am working on my healer bars. Currently trying to figure out where I messed up. I got it set up and working in a sense. But it's not showing my slot 2 and 3 names currently, and my enchanter is trying to nuke me instead of my druid healing😂😂. Gonna watch that video from the start again to see what I did wrong lol

Your welcome. If necessary until you figure everything out, one fix is to remove all your character's except the healer from the healing custom hotkey set in ISBoxer, that way when you click the bar the only character getting the input is your healer
