Dan's workshop must be the friendliest workshop in the country. Enjoyable viewing for a Sunday morning and if I had an old Datsun I'd be inspired to go out and work on it. Alas I have an unbreakable Hilux in perfect working order.

Great presentation skills. The fact that Dan repeats the question the audience ask is well appreciated. I was looking forward to watching this at the show but sadly missed it as I read the schedule wrongly…

This is great, I wish folks would do workshops like this over here in the US…. I have had to learn this the hard way… by having to change starters in the auto parts store parking lot…maybe the next one do one for the Alternator…. Then a cv axle.. because those seem to be what I have to fix the most out on the trail.

Haha I’m just slightly obsessed with torque specs. It only helps I’ve rebuilt my front end that many times haha. I had an issue where my starter stopped working a few days before getting onto the spirit of Tasmania. Roll started it a couple times but a few times I had to tap/jump the terminals to start it. Eventually stopped working completely and roll started it to the Devonport repco and changed the starter in the car park. I was definitely glad because where I was parked there was no option of a roll start to get off the ship. This was great to see live and was something unique no one else had at the show.

another good video. i have done starter and hubs but never pulled apart steering pump. this video showed how simple it is to repair a steering pump.Dan should be teaching this stuff in schools. makes it easier to understand, than reading a book.looked like the wind was trying to take your stand away, 😂.any easy tricks to removing broken axle studs?

great video but someone with some power steering experience, I would have thought for an on track repair to a power steering pump would be the regulator valve, behind the fitting where the high pressure hose screws in, getting jammed up with grit etc. stopping flow to the steering box...

I don't normally pick on you guys, but I have to pull Dan up on not calling it a solenoid on the starter, as that's the correct term and makes it easier for the spare parts idiots to understand. Other than that a good presentation.
