I prefer the Ram CDV, but I'll still take the Ford over the Regular Van. The regular Van is absolute dog shit, especially if it's the Ford. Everything is so awkward, and the turning radius my god. But I'd still take the Ford CDV over the promaster Van any day of the week. Even with that wierd handle they have for the bulkhead door, that isn't attached to the bulk head door, so it's literally just there to be in the way. And most importantly, in the Rams you can turn off the lane keep assist, that shit is so obnoxious and has probably cause more accidents than it has prevented.

Actually I’m interviewing for a driver position today and I’m building my own company because I hate working for someone else, but building a company requires a lot of financing, time and effort and I quickly ran out of my own money and so I’m hoping to do this job because it’s not NEARLY as difficult as what I’m doing for myself. Do what you gotta do to accomplish your goals and dreams that’s the moral of the story. Don’t settle 💪🏽

I hate the Ford CDV. Lane Keep Assist cannot be turned off, only lower sensitivity. And it has that wierd handle for the bulkhead door that doesn't actually function as a handle for the bulkhead door, since it's not attached. Also, ours don't have Radios, they were all ripped out for some stupid camera that never works. I don't even listen to the radio, but when I started I didn't bring ear buds with me, now I do. And then there is no storage space, you just throw everything on the dash and let it ride. The Ram at least has those cupholder in the center where you throw all the small things.

Amazon doesn't have drivers, so of course they don't care about them. The only thing Amazon cares about is making money. There's a reason the turnaround rate is so high. It's a rediculous job with very little reward. And they try to fire you every chance they get.

I worked in Amazon last year and only driven one of the first vans you said. But this year I go back and in training they were like yup you’re driving the bigger vehicle ram cdv. The instructor had me go on the highway and everything. When the boss asked where I drove. He was shocked. So the training isn’t what the manager would’ve agreed on. But I still passed thankfully

It's honestly crazy that some people don't know how to do things, but then I remember not everyone has the same background as me. I drove a lot of Big Rigs when I was in the Army. When I showed up to the gaurd, I backed up a trailer, and everybody was completely stunned. And then I remembered, oh right, you guys pretend you're in the Army, my bad. Amazon is really no different, we have a handful of CDV only Drivers, myself included. We have one step van, and I would 100% drive it, but our station wasn't built for a step van, so for whatever reason all our DSPs have one, but none of them use it.... that's Amazon for you.

It's also nice to not have to follow their strict safety rules. The only thing they can get you for, is speeding really, unless you use Mentor. Netradyne kinda took over, so we don't use Mentor at my DSP. But like I can make it through that light means something else when you don't have a camera trying to get you fired😂

I'm from update NY near the Adirondacks... So yeah no our DSP hasn't even got half of all that! 😂. We just have mostly Ram pro master rentals, a handful of the regular old Ford Transits, and a small group of prime ram pro masters... The electric vans won't survive & people have wrecked the vans so much due to the near unpredictable weather that poor Amazon won't fund us with the latest vans 😂. Idk, we're crazy, it's better this way.

Most of the Rentals don't have Netradyne. That's why they put the experienced people in them. So they can get their shit done real quick. Rolling Stop Signs, cutting red lights... stuff you can't do in the CDVs.

@@jaidixon2110I wouldn’t recommend anybody work for an Amazon dsp. It’s not worth the pay. Forget about stealing wages, more like stealing your health, energy, and youth if you’re still young. Worked for about 2 months then gave it up. $21.25hr, if you take your lunch break that will put you behind. Then you get calls telling you to speed it up, to many rescues equal less routes in the future. On top of that at least where I was working had no benefits, only paid time off. Get there at 9:30 not hitting the road till about 10:40. Get to my route about 11:26. Now I have to deliver almost 300 packages and be finish by 6:30-7:00 and be back on the road to the warehouse by 8. Then if you do finish early now you have to go and help someone else on there route. 2 months working there I had to lose about 20lbs. To me just not worth the headache, body ache, mental ache nor pay.
