Fun Fact: Another detail for Bayonetta being picked for Candy Kong is because her taunts involve her doing dance poses. In the GBA version of DKC1: Candy Kong has a rhythm mini game which she dances to the music and would strike a pose here and there.

Yeah. They shorted the song (alongside some of the other songs) to two minutes in SSB4 due to some memory issues with the game. The memory issues were fixed in Ultimate but unfortunately those shortened songs never got "unshortened".

It's probably worth noting that Spirits (especially in WoL) usually avoid using a character's default color, even when it would make more sense. I'm guessing this is to suggest that the fights aren't against the real fighter, but clones made by Galeem and Dharkon.

Actually, in the DK Junior fight, the main fighter is not a regular-sized DK. He's just not as tiny as a Poison Mushroomed/Lightninged DK. Corrin's dash attack also has them float momentarily, just like when you're using Enguarde's charge attack underwater.

I catched an error regarding the Klap Traps. They didn't originate in Donkey Kong Country. That's merely "where" we learned their name. But their first appearance was undoubtedly years earlier in Donkey Kong Junior. Unless Rare came up with another form of giant-mawed tiny crocodile by themselves which I doubt.

Consider that series an alternate universe or staged. Best way to make sense of a lot of games in the Mario/DK verse. Mostly the Mario side though, the DK series can otherwise follow a relatively clear timeline and even the more ambiguous ones can fit pretty nicely still when moved around
