Love your videos. I’ve tried this approach by referring/using best seller listings titles/tags, but when I use Everbee or eRank and enter those words, they have zero or very poor search rates through all the months. How can that be? Quite confusing when listing do so well but the tools show terrible numbers. Do you know why that is?

Hey there! I am so glad you are enjoying the videos! I think there is just more space in the market than the average person thinks! Christmas niches might show poor scores because so many sellers have Chrismtas items up using those tags.... but are they quality listings? The vast majority of people posting never get through the learning curve to the point where they actually have figured out how to create great designs, do the research, and add something new and creative to the market. This is just one of my theories anyway!

Hey there! So I got 40 listings up my first month on Etsy...they were all pretty awful because I didn't know what I was doing yet! I wound up getting 2000 up within a year which averages to about 38 a week. But I was slower in the beginning and got faster as I went. I also learned how to A/B test. I hope this helps!

So for example, I will try to get out maybe a 100 designs (listed twice so 200 listings) for the season with this SEO. I will revisit it next year when it is time to list to see what I learned and if there was a clear winner or if I need to make a new block. I hope this helps!

I have a question about a concern that a customer brought to my attention. When I googled Monster Digital address, it shows an address from Hialeah, FL. The tracking number for the order shows that the departure city was from El Paso, Texas; however, the return label in the package says that it came from Brooklyn, NY. I'm new to this and I am wondering if anyone has brought this same issue to your attention. I don't want this situation to cause credibility issues about my business. I'm not sure who I can contact about this and I was wondering if this has happened to anyone. Or what should my response be if anyone else notices this in the future. Hey there! I am not sure I understand the question. So feel free to ask again if this doesn't make sense... If I created 100 different designs in that niche I would list them all twice so I could test them with the two different SEO blocks that I came up with. So I would wind up with 200 listings. Yup! That was the ONLY difference! And I did this on probably over a 100 listings and that block of SEO performed better in many of the cases. Testing stuff out is kind of AMAZING!

Im a little confused because in the etsy seller handbook it says not to keyword stuff / not repeat the keywords in the tags and that they will mix and match. For example the word christmas should only appear once.

Hi there! They do mix and match! So you can be found for phrases that you did not include. But exact phrases will match more strongly and show up for that phrase more often than the one that has to be mixed and matched to get that phrase. Hope that makes sense! I would just pick the method I was most comfortable with and get listing and experimenting if I were you. Wishing you so much success!

I find this very interesting - if you took that 'block 1' title to the Etsy forums, you'd be told it was a bad title as it goes against Etsy's guidelines. Too repetitive, using christmas 4 times, matching 3 times and shirt 4 times. It would be advised to have something like 'Matching Couples Christmas shirt, Funny Xmas Holiday Tee Set, His and Hers' - the the design name and that's it. The tags would be equally rejected since it is alleged once a word is in your title, it doesn't need to be in tags. Then you'd get told you have no hope in heck of ranking since the competition for that is too fierce..! Have you ever tested this multiple repeat title against the more sober etsy-advised version? Personally the repeat method makes better sense to me and 95% of the shops I see doing well use it, but then if you have your keywords you have them so does it even matter LOL (I'm currently a vintage dealer researching POD so I don't have the means to test yet)

Hey there! Thanks for this! You are awesome! I checked a few of these in Everbee and many of them have less than 20 searches a month but some of the shorter phrases within them like"Matching Christmas Outfits" from the fourth one down had a score of 50 and over a thousand searches a month. You would still match for that within that longer phrase if you used it. These are worth paying around with and maybe don't fill up to much of your space with some of the extra words but might want to play around adding a few to each of you two listings to see what happens!
