Band Hero is not as bad as people say it is. I feel like it gets shat on by the community because of its family-friendly setlist. Engine-wise, it's roughly the same as GH5, which is considered by many to be the best one. I never understood why it gets such a bad rep, and I never will.

I was a pretty big fan of Guitar Hero when the series was at its peak. I was in my late teens, early 20s when the series was big. As much as I loved the games, I couldn't get into Guitar Hero 5 and I never played the On Tour/Decades games. I also wished I played Guitar Hero Van Halen and Warriors of Rock. I also bought Guitar Hero Live when that came out and for a while i liked it but it wasn't the same. I would also like to see a revival of Guitar Hero and that it goes back to its roots. One thing that made Rock Band 4 better than GHL was that Harmonix went back to the basics of Rock Band and Rock Band 2.

No way man! You're not in the minority! You don't know how popular and well loved Warriors Of Rock really is in the rhythm game community. A lot of people who are Guitar Hero fans would actually agree with you and say that Warriors Of Rock is indeed the best Guitar Hero, even Guitar Hero 3. And yes, I'm one of them! Warriors Of Rock is a masterpiece!

Again with SHITs over 2, hot damn. Also to add some context to GH Van Halen: so GH VH started out as Guitar Hero Stadium Rock FEATURING Van Halen and they decided to scrap the Stadium Rock part and just make it a Van Halen game. Also the Guest Acts were chosen from Wolfgang Van Halen's (Eddie Van Halen's son) iPod Playlist. So that should answer some questions there.

My List (using 360 methodology): 10. Band Hero (not my favorite setlist) 9. Smash Hits (songs also on other games) 8. Van Halen (love Eruption, why reverse engine, why only Lee Roth) 7. Aerosmith (short, like guest songs) 6. 5 (consistently good but not great) 5. World Tour (very good setlist, not fan of how they used battles) 4. II (nostalgic, great setlist) 3. III Legends of Rock (awesome setlist, not biggest fan of battles) 2. Warriors of Rock (2112 epic, excellent setlist) 1. Metallica (favorite band, nearly perfect setlist)

In my honest opinion Guitar Hero Metallica, Warriors of Rock, and to a degree 5, were the only games were the drummer actually played ON THE BEAT instead of doing some random mumbo jumbo. I'm a music nut so I get kinda nitpicky about the little things

As a drummer, I feel the same way. It hurts seeing the instrument not being properly played, especially when solos happen.

3 too but it's very robotic lol, 5 and onwards have mocapped drum anims so that's why it looks better than the drum anims from the world tour era
