@✪Hidden probably hit prime time. I work for Jb, and you don't realise until you start working there that its literally dead 80% of the time, until one hour it gets crazy busy and all our sales people get smashed out. It doesn't help when customers spend half an hour to an hour talking to one of our sales people to ultimately say they dont want it or theyre going to come in another day. Little secret for ya, our salespeople get commission (although only small) and have KPI's to meet so trust me, they want to help as many customers and want to offer the best product for money or better yet offer you a deal but some customers just halt our sales people ability to do that. Youll probably find when you do go in for something you actually need, itll be an item youve thought about or something other people are also in need of meaning the timing of it will align with our rushes, whereas when you just need a temp phone case or something small, youll go during a random time. TLDR: Heres a tip, go to JB during middle of day on week days to get the best deals (these are the hardest days for sales people to meet their KPI so theyll be more willing to negotiate an even better deal for you, especially if your buying more than one item), or if not those days, try early morning weekends

To be classed as documentaries, there must be all sorts of annoying jump cuts, shots where the camera focuses on the interviewee's face for 45 seconds (to make the viewer feel uncomfortable) and music so loud you can't hear the narration. Also, every time there's a scene change, there must be a distracting sound-effect. These are now official regulations laid down by the Ministry of Information & Shitty Docos.

Officeworks or Office-jerks (depending on which one you go to) are a difficult one to classify. There are some superb Officeworks stores (my local one is an absolute gem) but some are total trainwrecks. And, again, I've been to other random ones that have been either really good or reeaaally bad, it seems to be one or the other. But there is always that staff member who goes totally missing when you ask them something, even in the good ones.

1:15 it’s also very important to convince them that their gamer grandkid would really love a chromebook, you know, those pcs that are dogshit for the price and unusable for gaming

As entertaining as this is, JB might be the only bricks and mortar retailer in Australia still selling CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs within the next few years, if not sooner. 😕

Kiwi speaking here, they phased out the genre sections with the cds so I reckon they'll give up on that pretty soon too.

@@zets8238 A strong possibility, that, since when the Munno Para store became a JB Hi-Fi Home outlet, the CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs were jettisoned to make way for the larger appliances (with the size of the store, or lack thereof, being the kicker). 💡

@@EamonThePhilogynistWalford a shame really, JB always had some pretty solid music selections even for fans of more obscure music, when I was last in there I realized what was going on and decided that it's probably not worth shopping there again.

@@zets8238 Fair enough, and with the rumours I've been hearing about my local JB (at Modbury in Adelaide) possibly relocating to Westfield Tea Tree Plaza once Myer downsizes, I hope they don't use that as an excuse to follow suit. 🤔
