@MarxistMogger11 ай бұрын
the amount of dole bludgers that exist is so fucking low that they dont even matter. But lots of the more right wing media in the country likes to play them up cause they want to convince people to let the government cut welfare and other public services because. The majority of people on the dole (or who should be on it) want to work because most people dont want to play games all day and atleast feel productive, not to mention the amount you get is not enough to live on at all.

NOT for the fact I was sitting in my wheelchair WITHOUT BOTH OF MY PROSTHETIC LEGS ON…. FFS 🤦🏼♀️. Oh, after my parents both had a go at him, he sighed, obnoxiously rolled his eyes and said ‘FINE! I’ll write being an amputee as your MAIN medical condition but you WILL be reviewed every 12 months!’… And I get letters every 8-9 months saying I’ve been reviewed and approved… ?

Hi Garn, i come from a country overseas where there is no help or very little for people fallen in hard times. Believe me it is not fun, i have been there and you try to find a job and there is none, to top it up the government pockets the money and give nothing back for those fallen into hard times. You can make fun and criticise centrelink but life without help when needed is horrible. Since we migrate here i thanks God i never needed any help from the government but it is a relief to know that help is there if needed. Also i have a little business, pay my taxes and don't mind a bit if my hard earned money (part of it through taxes) goes to a lazy person or else. Don't mind at all! Like the song say, "You never know what you lose until is gone" We better pray government help and Medicare never goes, it is one of the best things this country has, looking after those fallen in hard situation. Happy to pay for Medicare for all and Help for all. Cheers

This does happen at centrelink. However, I'm not going to deny, Centrelink is why some people are able to stay off the streets and are allowed to sleep easier at night without the weight of worrying about a relative leeching off of them too much. I'm on centrelink and my sister takes care of me and her financial burden is much easier to handle because I can easily pay for my own rent as I'm living with her. I know I have it better than other third world places and I know I'm lucky because of that.
