About Etta May:
Etta May has performed her brand of clean-comedy on Oprah, Showtime, Comic Strip Live, MTV, and as a guest commentator on “CBS Sunday Morning,” Winner of the prestigious American Comedy Awards “Comic Of The Year,” and so much more. In addition, she headlines the successful all-female comedy tour, “Etta May and the Southern Fried Chicks,” selling out theatres all over the country. Think Blue Collar Comedy Tour with better hair and a bigger attitude! In addition to television, Etta May is a regular on Sirius-XM Comedy Channels and the syndicated Bob & Tom radio show.
Born and in Bald Knob, Arkansas, Etta May grew up alongside nine older brothers, who referred to their baby sister as “the human sacrifice.” Etta May’s parents - her father, a potpourri farmer, and her mother, bedridden by constant childbearing - didn’t realize she was a girl until she needed a training bra.
She met her husband, Delbert, an aspiring truck driver, at a friend’s kegger. From across the yard, their eyes locked in a loving look, you know that stare that lasts a moment too long. Nine months later, she was blessed with a boy, and three more kids followed. “That’s where my comedy comes from. I just wait for my husband or kids to do something stupid, and then I write it down.”
Before finding success as a stand-up comic, Etta wandered from dead-end job to dead-end job, including a 10-year stint as a school bus driver. She says she learned how to handle unruly kids by Armor-Alling the seats and slamming on the brakes all the way to school. Her theory: “Kind of hard to pick a fight with the kid in front of you when you’re just holding on for dear life.”
Then she decided to take a chance on herself and follow her dream. Lots of hard work and drive, and a few years later, she wins “Female Comic Of The Year” at the American Comedy Awards. It’s the American Story we are all told that you can become anything you set your mind to in this great country, and for Etta May, it worked!

I'm a Mum of 4. 2 Boys and 2 Girls. Age range from 32 down to 22!! They are all soooo different. As little uns they fought like cat n dog.(metaphorically of course! As a responsible Mum I couldn't let them draw blood..could I?) But now.. You hurt 1 and now you got 3 rottweiler's to contend with! But the best part. I now have Grandkids!! What goes around comes around....finally!!! It's fun to watch 😂. But do you know what? Even for the faults, yes they do have faults. I wouldn't change a single thing about anyone of them. I'm proud of my young Adults. I'm even prouder to be called their Mum. Your humour is even felt and understood here in the UK 🤣🤣🤣. I still need a pee your pants emoji!!! Thanks Etta ❤❤❤❤🇬🇧

So weird how different they grow up. I'm a chill business minded family guy, my sister is totally not and a little scatterbrained. Our youngest sibling is a tough prison guard. My kids are the oldest, a clone of me I swear. My daughter who is some sort of master artist with an eccentric personality to match, and my youngest, the genius hyperactive engineer who took my busted 10 year old lawnmower out of the shed. At 10 years old he started that wreck in a half hour.

Love it Etta! I've got Arkansas sass, lol. I've joked for years that if i knew then what I know now, I would have named my boys Cain and Abel. They're in their 30s and oddly enough have the same baby daddy too.

I actually had a blood test taken in the hospital...at 5 months i was told i was having a boy...i delivered a girl at 11:41 pm and a women with the exact same name delivered a boy baby 3 days earier at exactly 11:41 am...yes this is true.. the first time they brought my baby to me they brought her boy baby...i believed they lied to me & i had a boy...i made them do blood tests...😊

This just makes me think of all the times when I was growing up and wondering if I had been switched at birth because I felt about as alien to my family at Etta-May sees her son. Everything my family is/ does I seem, to be slightly left of that. 😂😆 As an adult I still feel that way and still don't have any real answers other than 'damn I look like them at least.'

I have three. My oldest's dad passed away suddenly. I remarried and 9 years later had my second and 18 months later had my third. They are all boys. The oldest is very different from the two youngest. They are nearly identical in looks, interests, occupation... everything.

Just like you said I can't believe how different kids can be we had the same Mom and Dad and we are so different I won't go in detail just incase some one figures out. But there is these 2 sisters I worked with separate times both I will say are great workers, but one was so sweet and kind and would never talk bad about anyone but yet her sister is a 2 faced back stabbing person and any thing you say she is always putting it down no matter what you say and she puts everyone down. I actually would have to catch myself not to talk to her about anything because she would down it one way or another. She went so far to say she wished this guy we work with would die, and if that wasn't bad enough she wished his kids would die too and she doesn't even know his kids.
