I am still working in a BPO but as an HR. From Agent to SME to QA to HR. By the time I left the QA department, I already saved almost 90k, back then I only save for an emergency, but later realized that I still need to push myself to save more, and I am doing it - religiously.

Because getting a job means a way to spend money on things you want in life. That was our mind set the moment we were hired. I envy my team mates buying great loots, but in reality we should have saved and invest that money to make another source of income.

I'm in BPO industry for 9 years now. And I couldn't agree with you more ms.candice . This is really true. It's the most stressful job i had since i started working (mentally stressful). I am a nurse but ended up working in bpo industry. I am currently saving for my future. I dont spend much for food, clothes, makeup etc. Since day 1 when i started working in a corporate world. I told myself that the only purpose why i have to be in this job bcoz i want to save more to establish my own business. I am planning to leave this industry few years from now and planning to just focus on my business and in the future to become a real estate investor. Yes, this job helped me a lot financially but i am not mentally, spritually, emotionally happy.

I feel you. I am giving myself few more years in the BPO and as soon as I saved up enough to start a small business I will resigne. The BPO industry actually provides job security yes and for most financial stability but not good for physical, mental and emotional healt. It is exhausting.
@josephramos9803 жыл бұрын
This is all about our long term goal in life. there's nothing wrong working in a BPO or a Call Center industry. All depends on us, wether you ended up penny less or well-being. Cuz when were working sometime we're not thinking those things that would make us pre-occupied. Normally we just casually working, eat, paid our montly bills, and of course our vices if there's any. So in general, we have to set our goals or aim at the same time. while were working in this company. When the time comes and you decided to stepdown in this career you have an alternative way to sustain living. Perhaps run a small family business, or being a freelance and self-employed individual. Hence, comprehensive outcome of our future will define us what we're currently now.

Really true! I'm actually applying for a call center agent position, first because I want to further enhance my speaking skill and how to handle objections. Showing empathy amidst all the emotion you're feeling is really hard, and I know it's hard but I still want to learn how to handle objections (serves as a training ground). Second, is the income. I need money to invest in my skills because surely I can't use my time (if I'd be hired). So far, that's what I'm planning, and your videos are helping me a lot in my interviews. AND I REALLY LOVE YOUR ACCENT

I really loved your videos. This is all on point. Sobrang dali sabihin ng mga non-call center agents saatin na sa work natin, wag tayo papaapekto sa sasabihin ng customers natin. Di lang nila alam na we are trying pero it does not mean na di tayo maaapektuhan at di yan magssink in sa isip natin. I am working in a American Healthcare account ever since I started in the industry. Since last year I am taking calls from providers (aka doctors, nurses or medical professionals) and not from members or subscribers (aka patients ) anymore. Now I am recovering slowly from my mental health issues caused by taking phone calls for patients themselves. I am extremely grateful with my job and satisfied now unlike before Still mas maganda padin na hindi lang yung call center job natin ang source ng income. Just a tip I learned from my mom as well hehe

I agree with you Candice when you say "Invest in yourself." I've been in the retail industry for more than 10years and damn I don't have any savings after quitting that job. But gladly I've been given the chance to work in BPO industry recently, what I did was to create an Emergency Fund aside from separate personal savings right after receiving my first salary. I know it's been a long process to build these personal plans for myself and my family since we're not getting any younger and other factors that may come in, but learning from our past experience made us realize what we need to prioritize in order for us to live somehow simpler and comfortably. Time is like money, we have to be diligent and invest more in what really matters to us.

The rest of your videos are really good as well :) I'm a recent graduate, and while contemplating for my next ganaps in life, I've been looking for job opportunities for the meantime. I initially had thoughts on how I'm gonna spend my money, my first few months sweldo on things that would satisfy my wants in life; material things, eating at a nice place, or travel. This vid led me back to my senses. Maybe if I get enough for myself, I can still enjoy the fruits of my labor, yet have more savings for the future :)
